Good Morning,

It's been a busy, crazy kind of weekend. Monday is here and I'm happy to say that I'm on vacation. It's going to be a busy working around the house kind of week and looking at the list it's going to be hard to make a dent in it. But hopefully by the end of the week I won't be looking at mattresses and other assorted items in my living room.

DD went for her first fitting on Saturday. The dress fits her so perfectly and she looks so beautiful in it. Very simple but so elegant. They had to alter the top just a bit since it's strapless and doing the work for the bustle. She also picked out her veil will just be a single layer mantilla veil. Other DD came down for her fitting and a few minor alterations to her dress and lot of dress needed to be cut off as it was really long.

Everyone was here Saturday night for dinner and I bbq'd in the rain. Yesterday morning I made a big Father's Day breakfast complete with stuffed french toast, ham & egg cups, and a big fruit salad. Everyone really seemed to enjoy it in spite of burning a large portion of the french toast. DD and her BF had to leave shortly after breakfast as he had two papers due and he had to complete the 2nd one by last night. Other DD and I headed to Target after they left to pick up DH's birthday present and other items we both needed. She needed to go to the grocery store and I had a few items to pick up as well. We then headed to Lord & Taylor since she needed to return a pair of shoes that she had purchased for the wedding but found ones she liked better at Zappos. I was wandering the clearance shoe rack and found a really nice pair of black dress shoes to go with the dress I'm wearing to the wedding we're attending 4th of July weekend. The shoes were on sale with an additional 35% off. I had a gift card so I didn't have to pay for them and still have money left on the card. Nothing like a good sale! DD spent the rest of the afternoon sifting through her summer clothes as I did as well. Cleaned out my winter stuff and replaced it with summer clothing. With the weather being what it is not sure when I'm going to wear any of it! I got Otto out for a walk in the afternoon but before we got too far the heavens opened up once again! Last night was another bbq in the rain!

Obviously nothing much has changed with the weather situation. If you look at the 5 day forecast it includes rain each day. At the moment the skies appear to be a bit brighter but I'm not holding my breath for too much sunshine.

My job today includes making a final decision on paint color for upstairs and actually buying it. I'm tending towards a color called Jack O'Lantern which is an orange brown color. I don't ever remember being this indecisive over a wall color. I also found an adhesive remover at Target to take the gobs of tape off the wall. DS had a ton of posters on his wall and each one was attached with massive amounts of packing tape. They stayed up very well! DH swears by tomorrow night we'll have the walls painted! I also have to finish bagging up the give away pile of clothes and finish getting the stuff out of the room. Lots to do. My list goes on and on and we'll see how far I get.

I definitely need a fresh start in the eating department. It's defintely been a weekend of lots of eating and certainly not everything has been in the good for you department. I want to try to fit a workout in as well and probably should get to that first thing before it ends up at the end of the list!

Better get started for the day. Hope you all have a marvelous Monday!

Good morning, it was a very busy weekend at my house. Friday I was off and did a Peapod grocery order for a Saturday morning delivery, cleaned the house, ran Katie around between math regents drop off and pick up and then later tutor, so much laundry and a stop at the office to notarize some signatures for a client that was unable to make it in earlier in the week. Bill took my car after hours and did her oil change and mounted new tires he bought for her. Oh on Friday morning when Rob went into the garage to start his detailing job he found a cat on the rafters meowing. It took most of the morning to get it down. Rob's friend Anthony finally climbed a latter and rescued her........on no! (We had seen her hanging around the back yard for a few weeks now but ran away as soon as someone tried to get close she would run away) (Well not anymore, she is super friendly and meowing everyplace) Friday was finished off with a late dinner of Chinese food and wine! He had a record week $ wise and by the time we sat down we were both exhausted which lead into ..................

Saturday was even more busy. Up early and enjoyed our morning coffee/tea time and Peapod arrived around 8:30. After putting everything away and a quick shower it was out to the back patio to clean the old refrigerator. When we did the swap in the fall we just put the white side by side out there. The mold was so gross. I proceeded to clean it while Bill ran around and did his shop banking and errands which included filling my car with gas and taking it through the car wash. After he got home he took all the shelves, trays and power washed them outside inbetween the rain drops. We then pulled the other frig out and switched. From there we started to clean out that back patio. It becomes such a mess over the winter because we use it as a junk room. We got the room cleanup, swept up, windows washed, walls washed, dusted and organized. We finished around 5:30. Just in time for both of us to take showers and get ready for an engagement party we were invited to. We met Bill's folks there at 7:30 and we stayed until around 10:30. While at the party we got this huge rain storm that left the parking lot flooded and looking like a lake. The water was up to the headlights on many of the cars driving through. My Explorer was fine because it is highter up. But it was scarey. So scarey that the kids felt sorry for the "new" cat and let he sleep in the back patio for the night. Bill said it was alright and of course this mean mom was really pissed about it. This is the last thing I want or need. We were so exhausted Saturday night again so they got little of an arguement from me.

Well...my weekend was very dull compared to you here. But, with being sick, it was the best thing. I am feeling a little better each day and thank you for asking Patty. I hope to be well enough to teach the Zumba tomorrow. My friend will be there so if I run into trouble, she can take over.

Everyone is doing well so far except DD is getting a little anxious with having 2 in diapers. It will all work out...and I can say that since my first 2 were under a year apart.

That is it for now...I may check in later if I am feeling ok.
