Good Morning,

That picture is picture perfect and do wish I was there. This project has me so confused and unsure of myself and that looks like the perfect place to unwind.

Another gray day. We had a few moments of sunshine here yesterday only to finish the day off with yet more rain.

Day 2 of vacation-painting, painting and more painting. DH and I made the mutual mistake of not priming the walls. He put a bit of paint on the walls so we could decide whether to forego that step and well...by the end of the day we both realized in our desire to have this project over we should have taken the extra step. DH was hoping to have a 2nd coat on by yesterday afternoon but it was just too humid and the paint just wasn't quite ready for that 2nd coat. I'm really hoping that the 2nd coat will take care of it otherwise I'm going to have to spring for a 2nd gallon of paint. I'm also 2nd guessing my color choice. I've never been afraid of color but this one is rather bold and I thought it would be more brown but it really is a subdued shade of orange. DH suggested I just start over with another color but just not doing that. I think if I accent with curtains etc with deeper colors it will be fine or at least hoping so. I'll correct that and say it will be fine. My trim paint is all done. I just have to go over the closet doors with a second coat of white. I really hope that this is all done today and tomorrow I can go in and touch up and clean up and then start moving things in. It was nice to have two of us working and we played nice together yesterday! To be honest I wish I had the money to hand to someone and say here's the paint and a paint brush call me when it's done. I think I'm getting old! Too many projects over the past almost 33 years!

DH loves his birthday and was so happy with his special dinner. DD had picked up a luscious cake at a favorite bakery. We all chipped in and bought him one of those navigation things for his truck. He's always getting lost when he has to go out on a delivery for work so hope this helps and I hope he uses it. He's been researching them forever. I was also very excited that he took our suggestion and went and bought himself a suit. I've known the man 34 years and he's never owned a suit. We're going to a wedding 4th of July weekend and DD subtly suggested that maybe it would be a good idea to buy a suit and lo and behold he went to the little men's clothing store not too far from here and bought a suit!

Cathy-sorry to hear about the poor kitty.

Nancy-nice to have you back.

Grace-I think you've given the hopefully soon ex the correct title. Seems to fit him to a tee!

Well better get started with my tape, roller, brush and paint can.

Good morning Miss P and the rest of the lovely ladies here! Patty love, love, love the picture and the idea of spending a few days in a place like that would make me feel so good. Let me know when you plan to leave, I will meet you there. Well today is day three of my all days but off the next four! I can get used to having Thursday and Friday off and leading into the weekend. Might have to think twice about this going to full time in September, lol. Mr. Bill's plan might have backfired, lol.

Did I tell you ladies about the bull frog we found? Billy called me at lunch time to say there was the biggest bull frog sitting under his truck in the shade..........we never have frogs, especially a bull frog here. Well I guess my pool is attracting many a thing, lol. Katie's GF, Katie caught it and she took a picture, I need her to email it to me so I can pass the evidence around. She let it go in the water and it swam away! Yesterday was a full day with work until 4:30, then a quick change at home and off to the barn for Katie's 5:30 lesson. I let Katie and Katie do their thing while I read a book for about 15 minutes and then took a 20 minute cat nap in my car. I watched the end of her lesson then headed over to McDonalds for the girls. They spent the night at her GF house and I knew they had to eat before heading over there for it was getting late and her mom had already fed the rest of the family. Close to 7:00 at that point. Fed the girls, finished up at the barn, then home. Dropped then off at Katie W's house and then Bill and I ran over to the diner for a bite to eat. I had a salad and a soda. Kept it light! Back home to fold some laundry and wait for my turn on the computer. Bill jumped on and I needed to scan some documents in from the office. Finally got done with everything and headed to bed around 12:30.

Anyhow I am showered and now I just need to get dressed and dry my hair. Just finishing my tea. Billy just dropped Cole off and he is wondering around the house like puppy's do. He is getting big. The cat is still hanging around and sleeping ontop of the wood picnic table out back. I feel like an animal rescue, lol. Rob has a side job to finish up today and Katie is going to work for Bill for a couple of hours on Wednesday to fill in some time. She will answer some phones and do some filing since Bill's mom is off on Wednesday and with someone to answer the phone and take messages he can get out and do some work and price out some jobs. It was my idea and Bill liked it. For the summer maybe it will show her how the family business works a little bit and maybe she might just appreciate things a llittle bit. Bill pay her by the hour and then she will have spend money to shop. I think at 15 it's about time she learned that she can not just shop and buy at her will. She can drop $100 easily at one store in 30 seconds, lol Both my boys worked for Bill when they turned 13. Billy quickly learning the mechanic end (Rob did too but Rob is fussier) which he is great at and making a full time living at while Rob always was the gopher, but he too learned how to change oil and mount tires
