Good Morning,

Absolutely nothing wrong with a good old fashioned vanilla ice cream cone. One of my personal favorites!

Another day, more clouds. It once again looked so promising but now looks the heavens are just waiting to open up!

I certainly could have slept in a bit longer this morning but Otto was scratching to get out of the bedroom and have breakfast. DH was in the shower so I couldn't let the poor thing starve :)! Sure was a nice sleep though.

Can't believe it's Friday. I'm going to head out and continue my quest for curtains and a comforter. Really hoping that I find something and be able to put the finishing decorating touches on everything. My boys will be hooking up wires and such for my DVD player and the TV downstairs. Not sure whether my computer will be headed upstairs but that's not a huge deal. I'm kind of used to sitting in my own personal box and furniture warehouse down here in the basement! I think I probably should head over to our storage unit and see if I can put some of this stuff over there. DD is going to have to go through this stuff and some purging and tossing. Not sure what else I'll be doing today. Obviously my house needs a serious cleaning but there are still tools etc that need to find their home. I do have two bathrooms that are in need of a serious scrub down. I think that and some laundry will be on the agenda for domestic godess duties.

Nancy-safe travels to you today.

Z-Deb-nice to have you back. Loved your pictures. The pathway stones are really cute!

Grace-sorry to hear that your DIL is still having so much trouble. Thoughts and prayers going out to her.

I'm headed to the shower and then out the door for my ongoing search for textiles!

Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday!

Susan

Good morning, I thought that Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday we were supposed to have sunshine with a "chance" of a shower. Yesterday started pretty dreary and it did clear up, this morning I hear thunder echoing in the distance and it is very gray looking outside..........so depressing. Well got up at 7:00 to iron Bill some work clothes, one of those weekly chores I have not had the chance to get to. Today I have to give the ironing pile some attention. I have already washed my foyer floor and kitchen floor and I have done a batch of delicate laundry that is hanging, the washer has loan number 2 going with the bathroom rug and Katie's gross sneakers. I really need to be the domestic godess today along with bake the cakes for tomorrows graduation party. If I bake them in the early afternoon I can put the chocolate mouse filling in tonight. Then start to ice and decorate tomorrow. I also need to make a batch of red and white roses and freeze them to make tomorrow's decorating just a little easier. No outside stuff until Katie has to go to Huntington Learning Center. Glad I ran around yesterday and got all her horse stuff taken care of. Last night was the Senior Prom and we had limo's all over the place and today is graduation. I hope the weather clears for tonight because the ceramony is outside (weather permitting). I am sure they school already has the football field set up. Billy is on vacatation this coming week. He and the GF are heading down to St. Pete Florida for a week. They are staying with friends who's parents gave them a beach side condo for the week. I am sure they will have a good time. He dropped off his laundry to use my machine. He is going to come and do it inbetween his road tests and breakfast/lunch break but I told him to leave it with me and I would feed it in with my stuff. I know.........I know! Cole is going to be with us this week while he is away..........again, I know! What a trouble maker he is, yesterday we left him on the back patio, Rob found him ontop of my table. OY! Here comes the rain and the thunder is getting louder! Guess it is not going to pass us by. This weather is killing everyone around here buisiness wise. Bill only has 2 bays to work out of and a car port but this rain just hurts us. Ever try to fix a car outside in the rain. It aint nice! The landscapers are in a bind with doing what they can inbetween the rain drops just to their weekly maintance contracts, forget fitting anything extra. Our landscaper promised to come to my house and spread the top soil we had delivered 3 weeks ago on the front lawn so we could put down some grass seed. That has not happened yet and the pool guy claims he has several jobs on hold because of this weather and that is the lates excuse of what is holding up our stuff. Who knows.........either way I have plenty of things for myself to keep me busy right here inside the house. I guess I will throw the water back on for a second cup of tea, transfer the laundery over, have a bowl of Special K and then get this day really rocking. I hope everyone else has a wonderful day today.

I like a cone like the one you posted dipped in chocolate so it gets nice and hard and breaks off when I eat it.

I have been dying for a soft-serve with a hard chocolate shell vanilla and chocolate twist in a cone for a few weeks now.
