I can not even do a cut and paste on this board right now, something is out of wack with my computer and ivillage..........argh!

1). Favorite summer time drink is green tea lemonade and I really like lots of alcohol types.......pina colada, strawberry daquari, malibu baybreeze (actually I enjoy them all year long). But there is something about a Pina Colada on a hot summer night!

2). A summer person, I enjoy the beach and water the best. I find it more uplifting, that is when the sun comes out around here.

3). I like both but until my back yard starts to look like a back yard I would rather be a guest. When we do have a backyard BBQ I usually make macaroni salad, sliced garden tomatoes with mozzarella cheese, and marinated ribs.

4). I like to swim thus another reason I like summer. I don't like how I look in a bathing suit anymore but I do enjoy the water. We live so close the ocean unfortunatly we are always so busy. We should get there several times during the summer but I am lucky if I drag myself down 2 times. I wanted this pool in my yard so bad because if we ever get one you can guarentee I will be in it daily. Oh and by the way I neve swam in a lake, kinds of skeeves me out.

5). I really wanted a hammock in the backyard but not with that view so my favorite spot is the front porch. In the morning and early afternoon it does not have direct sunlight so it us usually very comfortable to sit, relax and if you contort your body just right fall asleep on the love seat.

1). What is your favorite summer time drink? Give us both the alcohol variety and nonalcohol variety!

Favorite summer cocktail is a gin & tonic. Favorite non-cocktail is probably fresh-squeezed lemonade. *slurp*

2). Are you more a summer person or a winter person? Tell us why?

Gardens, farmer's markets, art fairs, festivals, picnics, camping... you name it, summer rocks. I can't think of much I enjoy about winter at all, other than the holiday season. I'm pretty much a Gloomy Gus from January through March.

3). Do you like hosting a summer BBQ/party or being a guest? What do you like to serve your company when you do have a summer party?

As much as I enjoy having people over, I'd probably prefer being a guest at someone else's house. When I'm the host, I stress out too much over trying to make everything perfect and keeping the kitchen relatively tidy. As for what to serve, we had the family over last night and had a fairly typical meal...chips & salsa for an appetizer, tossed salad and pasta w/ veggies for dinner, and raspberry mousse for dessert. (Our next summer party is just a big potluck, so we won't have much to do to get ready, cooking-wise.)

4). Do you like to swim? When you can, where do you go? Pool, lake or ocean? Do you swim or float around?

Not much of a swimmer, unless you count just soaking in the hot tub. :) However I could happily sit at the beach and watch the waves for hours....

5). Do you have a favorite place outside that you like to call yours to read a little, sip that favorite drink, or take a nap? Is that spot in the sun or under a big shade tree?

My favorite spot is the rocking chair on the deck. It stays in the shade for most of the day, and is in the sun during the late afternoon. I'll take a drink out there and listen to music or do crosswords, and just enjoy the fact that it's summer in Michigan and I'm not cold for once.... ;)

1). What is your favorite summer time drink? Give us both the alcohol variety and nonalcohol variety! I do enjoy a good Pina Colada in the summer. I used to love Raspberry Gingerale with seltzer in the summer. Very refreshing although I haven't had one in a long time.

2). Are you more a summer person or a winter person? Tell us why? I really do like the change of the seasons and as soon as I've had enough of heat and humidity that a LI summer can bring the season changes. I do enjoy the extra daylight and doing more outside activities that the warmer weather brings

3). Do you like hosting a summer BBQ/party or being a guest? What do you like to serve your company when you do have a summer party? I think I enjoy being a guest more since I tend to stress when I entertain. A summer party usually involves grilling and simple salads and fixings.

4). Do you like to swim? When you can, where do you go? Pool, lake or ocean? Do you swim or float around? I'm not a great swimmer and not real comfortable when my feet can't touch the bottom but I still enjoy an occasional lap or two. I like sitting by the ocean but not at all an ocean swimmer.

5). Do you have a favorite place outside that you like to call yours to read a little, sip that favorite drink, or take a nap? Is that spot in the sun or under a big shade tree?
I have my adirondack chair that DS made me in high school that is so comfortable and I love sitting in it in the morning with a cup of coffee in hand before the sun comes around and in the early evening with a good book. My chair hasn't appeared yet this year-might have something to do with large volumes of rain!
