"Make Choices that bring you joy" cl-Patty
Good Morning,
Another weird weather day, one minute sunny the next looking like it's going to pour and then add in a nice dose of the muggies and that's our weather here on LI.
Wondering if I should head south and visit Patty on her staycation and see what she's really going to do with that duct tape or perhaps head southwest and visit Margie. Watch out girls...you may have a visitor with suitcase in hand!
In reality it's another 9 to 5 day. I'm waiting for my iron to heat up so I have something non wrinkly to wear to work so that I look presentable. I'm also contemplating how I'm going to make the garbage I threw out yesterday that has reappeared to disappear again. I think I may have to enlist DS and his use of his work dumpster. I know that he will be glad to assist in the cause. I did manage to get 3 boxes of stuff that DD had gone through out to the curb last night before DH had a chance to rummage.
I'm hoping that the weather stays dry to get out Otto for a walk. We had rain by the time I got to the dentist last night and a downpour as I arrived home. I think that's going to be the weather for the next few days. I am hoping that the boys can bring my desk and computer upstairs this evening. I dislike having a project half way done and then it gets neglected and unfinished and that's the stage it's in right now.
Nancy-hope all goes well with your stress test today.
My iron is beeping at me so better get at so I can get myself out of here on time. Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday.
Susan
Yesterday was a busy day at work then I came home and had to call AT&T about our cell phones. For months mine would not allow any voice messages so after 45 minutes the guy finally gave up and connected me to a techy guy and it was solved in 2 seconds..........argh. Then Katie's phone has been randomly shuting off. Its only a few weeks old (replacement from the one stolen).

Good Morning Everyone,
There is nothing I would enjoy more than to have any or all of you to show up to share a "staycation" with me!

I know it is too early for a check in but how about a vent....can I do that? What a freaking day it has been and it aint over yet. Told you all earlier about Bill's truck well I went and looked at it before heading to the office and it was hit pretty bad. The rear axel is shifted, the tire is twisted, the back quater panel is cracked and crinkled, the entire bed of the truck has lifted and shifted, the back bumper is crunched and the exhaust is hanging down/broken. The front bumer has a huge dent/hole from when it was pushed into the truck in front of it. Turns out we know the family of the young lady who hit the truck. The hit was right around the corner from the bar and was really loud Robbie said. The neighbors called the cops but the bar crowd of friends came running over and tried to convince Rob to not get the cops involved. They tried to get Rob to work it out, lol. Turns out she was way over the limit. I don't know about you guys but once a car/truck has been hit hard like that it is never the same. Bill had it towed to the body shop earlier this afternoon. Now we wait and see, mind you Billy's truck is at Ford waiting for a new motor and then being traded in for a new one because he just does not trust it anymore. So now we have no tow vehicles.
As I also mentioned this morning I knew my coworker would be late but she did not show until 12:30 and our phones were ringing off the walls. Four lines and only me answering. Add that fact my attorney kept giving me stuff to do and take care of, I had client's pop in....argh! It was so fustrating. Could not wait to get out of here at lunch time. I went home and got back on the phone with AT&T about Rob and Katie's phones. Robs was easy and quick, then a different department for Katie's since hers was being covered under warantee. I got kind of rude, the way this NYer askes for cheese and handed the phone to Rob and told him to handle the rest of it because I had to get back to my office. Almost an hour on the phone with these people which left me time to woof down a BP&J sandwich and I grabbed a peach yogurt that I am eatting now. Then I get back to my office and our 5:30 appointment calls to confirm some information and I can not find the file. My boss claims he gave it to me. I searced high and low on my desk and finally had to tell the client I would call him back. After 20 minutes of searching and going into panic I started to cry because I knew he never gave it to me. I thought I was loosing my mind. Sure enough the *ss h*le finds it on his desk and laughs...........it is a good thing I am not licensed to carry a gun. He is at the doctor now and I do not think he wil be back before I actually run out of this bloody place at 5:00 exactly. I never had a chance to go over my files and I guess they are just going to sit there until Monday. If a client calls and complains he can deal with it. Very upsetting and agrivating and not how I work at all.
Since it stopped raining I think I will throw my sneakers on and grab a walk. I was watching a commercial earlier this morning and it was an advertisement for Slim in 6 tapes which I have. I am thinking of turning the AC on in my room, grabing a water bottle and locking the door. The tapes do kick butt and I was hurting after doing them but they are difficult and I hate doing them but I know I need to do something. So lets see what kind of energy I have left when I leave here and see what I have to face when I get home. Thanks for listening to my rantings...I can not wait for Thursday and Friday. Oh my sister Dori has Friday off and if the weather is nice while her kids are in camp I am ditching Katie for a few hours and heading to her house to float in her pool with her. I am a horrible mother......:-)

HI, all...looks like some of you have had some day already today. So glad that passport was found SUSAN. Someone had a bright spot.
The rat moved out today and the girls are not taking it well. You would think he would do it all in one day so there would be less trauma but no...he is spreading it out. I may have to stay at DD's tonight...she is not doing good. Not because of him, but for the life they had at one time and the girls.
I went to teach the Zumba class today and no one showed. The manager of the place put on the schedule that the class was cancelled today and didn't change it. Oh well...I am supposed to get paid anyway and all the paper work was done. I didn't realize it was the first day of July and put June 30th on all the paperwork. They must think I am an airhead. I did get asked to sub 4 or 5 classes the middle of July...I have to get back to them on that.
Good luck with the stress test NANCY...I guess it is probably over by now. I usually go alone and bring magazines and crocheting with me. Lots of waiting around.
DEB...sorry about the truck and work fiasco. What a day for you! From experience, the only way to go with accidents IS to call the police no matter who is involved. I got burned when not doing it once and when the vehicle was fixed, it was against my insurance. If I had the police report, it would not have been charged on my account because it was proof it was not my fault. Good luck with it and I hope it works out for all of you.
Can't remember what else I read...thinking of you all. I am fried and I have a full house again. Bought DD a laptop since the rat is taking the one "he bought with his money". Yeah...right!
Hugs to all
Grace

Rough about the truck - sounds like the cops needed to be involved.
