If we are going to have a check in that must mean its Sunday night and work is tomorrow morning! Not happy about this but I am curious as to what everyone did today. So won't you share with the rest of us what kind of day you had?
Well it is just about 10 PM and the day is winding down here on Long Island. I must say we had another picture perfect day.............I could take this kind of weather all year long. Mid to high 70's, no humidity, sun shine and light breeze. Today was kind of like yesterday, I kept busy all day but did not do anything so special or big. After I posted my morning post I ran and got bagels for Katie and her GF. My peapod order arrived around noon. After putting away all the groceries I made some macaroni salad and two batches of brownies. Bill and Rob got home around 2 this afternoon. I decided to make shrimp kabobs to take with us as well as the mac salad and brownies. I defrosted a 2 pound bag of jumbo shrimp and put them on a bambo skew with red & green peppers, pineapple chunks and sliced vidalia onions. Made a marinage of soy sauce, pineapple juice, garlic and some Lawry's Hawiian marinade. We headed over to Stacey's folks at 4:15 and had a nice time outside under the awning. We then BBQed some steak, chicken and the kabobs, had some fresh corn on the cob and the mac salad. Very yummy! Followed up by coffee and tea a tray of brownies and an ice cream cake that we sang HB to Rob. It was Stacey's parents idea since his BD is this Tuesday and they were not sure if they would see him. Very sweet and you can tell they like Rob as much as we like Stacey. We stayed until 9 and then headed home, the mosquitos were coming out and the outside fireplace kept blowing on Bill and he began to feel ill. Heading upstairs in a few minutes. I have to walk the dog again since I guess Billy is not coming
