Good Morning,

After rain yesterday afternoon and heavy rain last night which had me scrambling to get forgotten windows closed the sun has reappeared. This certainly has been weird summer weather.

Checkup went fine with the doctor, bp was in my normal range and just have to wait to make sure everything is OK with the blood work. Somewhere along the line I've lost about 3 lbs-probably stress induced weight loss! By the time I got home, ate, went out with Otto and chatted with my neighbor for a few minutes it was almost 8PM. I decided as much as I had and should be doing I voted for a night off from everything. Unfortunately I was so tired it was difficult to read or watch TV. Then I had the middle of the night window closing and Otto was doing something that sounded like he was having trouble getting up. I checked on him and he was ok so I'm not sure what he was doing but it was loud and didn't sound good.

Today is another 9 to 5 day. The work days have been crawling by and sometimes those days are more exhausting than the busy days. My 6 month check up with the thyroid doctor was supposed to be next Tuesday but they called me yesterday to reschedule so I'll be headed there after work. Those appointments are usually in and out so I shouldn't be getting home too late. DH will be in and out the door anyway and he'll have to figure out something to eat before he has to leave.

Margie-loved your pictures! Belated Happy Birthday wishes to your DD! Brock is so handsome and so grown up! And your guy...very handsome and he can make me a Dirty Banana anytime! He obviously makes you very happy just by seeing the smile on your face and I'm so very glad!

Nancy-your sheet story made me laugh. I've changed colors of things a few times over the years-unfortunately it usually wasn't a good thing-particularly the red that ran into the line of one of DS favorite dress shirts. Oh well...we domestic goddesses do have our bad days!

Patty-hope the septic lines are finished at last and hope that whole "rigged" thing worked for you! Staycation field trip...chip factory? Sounds like a plan...do they have postcards there?

Karen-hope the day is a better one for you! The FB puppy picture is so cute!

Better get the show on the road and finish getting ready for the workplace. Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday (even if I am convinced that it's Thursday!)

If any of you saw my quick, on-the-train FB post this morning, you know how I'm feeling.

I did a long post post, minimized it and then lost the entire bloody thing..argh! Yesterday was my Rob's 20th birthday and we took him out to dinner, family tradition. He picked a rib joint and my stomach still hurts. Today is going to include lots of fruit and salads, lol. Actaully going to grill chicken and make salads for dinner.

Grace I am sorry to read about your fingers, did you go to the doctor or are you putting antibiotic cream on them? Susan anymore wedding drama? Has your daughter talked to the girls causing this drama and stress? Karen, it is a yes to Katie continuing at Huntington Learning for the summer. They feel it is best to continue the program without interuption. Plus if we take a break and try to get back into it I have a feeling we won't. I really want her to complete the entire required hours. She has shown improvement in her grades and I think it helps keep her mind fresh for the summer months......way to much teenage sleeping and hanging out so this is just a little bit of thinking involved, lol. She does not agree and wants to stop but as long as we can afford to pay for it she will continue the program. I know in my heart the long term effect will pay off. She goes on Monday mornings and Wednesday mornings from 10 to 12. So those two days she gets up at 8, showers, makes her bed and has breakfast then goes. Bill drops her off and picks her up. On Mondays after she hangs out with girl friends and goes to the beach, park, pool. On Wednesdays she has lunch with her dad and then works for him in the shop for a few hours answering his phones and filing. He is paying her $5 an hour and she has saved over $100 so far for a cell phone she has her eye on. On Tuesdays she sleeps in like your normal teenager and does her chores after she wakes up and gets going.
