So far a beautiful day in the neighborhood and a beautiful picture to start the day. Definitely not the usual LI summer weather around here. The past few days have been beautiful and it's been nice sleeping weather as well. I shouldn't talk too soon the heat and humidity may be right around the corner.
Friday at last. I'll be the only member of the clerical staff in this morning which might make my morning very interesting. One girl is on vacation and my other coworker is being dragged into Family Court by the moron ex. It's amazing how far people can go just to be vindictive.
Anyway, I'm hoping the work day passes by quickly without too much wear and tear on my mind! Home after work and see what DH brings home for dinner. Probably the usual pizza and then I need to get Otto out for a walk. The rest of the evening will probably be vegging out. My energy levels the past few days have been really low.
Up and rearing to go this Friday morning. Lets see I never got to post yesterday so I will back track if that is fine with you ladies. Had Liam on Wedneday night, he is such a pleasure. My sister is so lucky. After a cat nap in his stroller while we ate dinner, he had his bottle, played a little and at 10:30 took his pacifier, laid down in his crib with his blanket and went to sleep........instant! Sharon came home around midnight and both her and Dori had a great time. We stayed up talking until close to 1:00am. Yesterday was a pretty lazy morning but by the afternoon we had to kick it into high gear. Katie sat in the bathtub with Liam so Sharon could give him a bath, it was cute to watch, lol. Rob ran Katie to the barn so she could ride, I ran to the doctor for my 3 month recheck and Sharon packed up while Liam took a nap and headed back to our parents house where she stayed and has dinner then left with my mom to head back to CT since she has to work today. My wait in the doctors office was awful over 1 1/2 hours, very agrivating. BP was the same and he will leave me on the meds for now. Got to see my actual doctor since he was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer a few months ago and has been under going chemo himself with Sloan Kettering. Young man, mid 40's with a few kids. He just broke away from the group practice he was with and went on his own a year ago so the guy has had it tuff. So I could not complain about the wait plus he did not charge me my co-pay for the visit. I have to go back next Friday morning early for blood work since he wants to test my choleserol and you need to fast to take that blood test. Left the doctor and ran to the grocery store where I bought my food/snacks for tonights candle party. Came home put my food away, ran to the barn to pick up Katie, washed up and then headed to Dori's house. She invited me to join her book club so I said yes, they meet every 6 weeks or so and do dinner/dessert and discuss the choice they had made. I could use more "me" girlfriend time so I gave it a try. When I got home life was crazy with Bill home, Rob, Katie, Stacey and Rob's friend Keith all here and Cole was going crazy. I decided he needed a good walk so we headed out around 10:00pm and did about 30 minutes. Everyone went home or to bed when I got back in and Cole went into his kennel while I headed upstairs. Billy came back home to sleep so he bunked with Cole in his old room.
Like I said I am up early, even though today is my off day. I got up when Bill left to head to the shop. Woke Billy, took Cole for a short walk and I have made my bed, finished my tea, folded clothes in the dryer and both the washer and dryer are doing their thing at the moment. I am going to head up to the bathroom and clean it( I presprayed it down already) and shower at the same time. I need to hit the liquor store to buy some wine and I want to make some sangria and get it chilling for the day for tonight. I have lots to clean around here like dusting, vacuuming, kitchen needs a wipe down and I have food to prepare. I have not had a group of friends over in a very long time and I am excited. I already told Billy that Cole will be in his kennel from 6:00 on and Rob has been instructed to finish his work outside by 6:30 so he can be done in the shower before my company gets here. Plus the last thing I want is Rob outside with the air compressor or power washer going.
Our weather here is picture perfect today. I sure hope it stays like this. Not cold not hot, no humidity. Windows are open and there is a light breeze. Not your typical July summer day though. I hope you all have a great day today and I will check back later. Nice to see a post from Rhonda. You sound good and busy. We miss you so please come back more often. Have a great one ladies.......oh and Patty the office was a bit on the chilly side yesterday I was told, lol. Seems our spanish sect is miffed at the other more then me for speaking our minds and she was cool to say the least. But she did warm up as the afternoon wore on. Monday is my turn, lol.
