Good Morning,

Another day of sunshine which is nice and the humidity is still low so it makes for a very nice day.

I had a very fitful night's sleep and of course when I should have been getting up I was struggling. It's back to the work grind and where exactly did this weekend go? I ended up being very non-productive yesterday. I just couldn't get any energy going. I did sit outside for a while but my chair was right in the sun and to sit in any of the other chairs meant I would have had to move a zillion things in the shed to get at the chair cushions. I also thought about getting my bike out. It's the middle of July and my poor bike is sitting in the shed but it's just another hassle to get it out. I have to talk to DS and see if there's a way of getting it more accessible in there. Although I already know that he's been trying to clean out the garage and is meeting the same obstacles that I am with the clutter guru. Otto and I did enjoy a very enjoyable walk however last night. He met up with his walking buddies and we were almost home and we ended up turning around and walking some extra distance.

I have to figure out my boarding dilema for Otto for the wedding. I want to take him to a place right near my house. They have someone there 24/7 with larger crates and individual attention to the animal rather than at the vet where they're pretty much just boarded there. Unfortunately at this place I have to get him back to the vet pronto for an extra kennel cough vaccine. They require the dog to have a booster six months after the original vaccine and it has to be completed 10 days before boarding and they have to see proof before they'll register your pet. So I have to figure out what I'm going to do. Otto being older and not being left I think he'll do better in the new place but have to figure out whether I can get the other logistics figured out.

I'm running so late this morning. I've been on the phone with both girls and trying to keep my "bride" away from the house on Saturday. We're supposedly taking my SIL out for a birthday brunch on Saturday. And she decided that Saturday would be a good day to start on seating arrangements except that her sister will be here and DD thinks that she couldn't make the lunch since she supposedly will still be in Atlantic City. I hopefully talked her out of it since I'm taking my dress for a fitting and told her that I didn't think we would have enough time to really sit down and figure everything out before leaving for "brunch". She finally agreed that Sunday would be a better day. She really seems clueless about the shower and she's not easy to surprise so I hope that she is really going to be surprised.

Well I'd better get moving before I'm late for work. I'm trying to keep a handle on healthy eating since the other way of eating doesn't agree with me very well but that doesn't seem to stop me lately! Exercise is non existent and I think it's going to be that way until after the wedding.

Posting on the QT here........lol. Busy, busy, busy in my little world but you are so sick of hearing me say this it's not funny. Friday's candle party was a sucess followed by Saturday clean up and a case of the lazies. Saturday afternoon while trying to get done to go to graduation party pool guy shows with two workers. They pumped out the old standing water, laid pipes into the deeper end of the hole and set up two generators. There are pipes and hoses across the back yard and my hopes are he will be back this week to start and construct something that resembles a pool. I really don't want to look at all this extra stuff in the back yard for a year while trying to keep Cole away from it all.......oy! Did not feel like going to the graduation party but we made it and had a nice time. Got home early since Katie had to baby sit across the street. Bill played online and I read my book for a little while. I actually fell asleep reading on the couch. Katie got home at 11:30 and Bill drove her over to Nicoles house to spend the night since both girls had to be at the barn at 5:00am, Sunday morning to get Ammy ready for the show. Bill headed to NJ around 7 and I got up and did some organizing, dog walking and cooler fixing. I met Katie and Nicole at the show around 9:30. Katie went on around 11:30 (she got grand champ again, 2 first places and 1 second place). Unfortunatly Nicole did not go on until close to 5:00. So I waited, thought it was a good thing to do. I guess katie and I got home around 6:30. Nicole went back to the barn with Ammy so Katie did this morning with him, this way Nicole could sleep in. I have to say I was showered and upstairs and snoring by 9:45 last night. I never heard Bill or Rob get in. Today...........

Finally got Bill to get up and he told me the stray cat, Lanie was on the back patio. Like why??? He informs me that when they got home last night around 11:30 Lanie went running past them off the front porch which is unusual. When they got to the front door they understood. Seems there was a rather large racoon eying up the cat. Bill and Rob let the cat into our back patio for the night with fresh food and water. I let her out this morning. I had to drop Katie at the barn at 8:30 so she could take off Ammy's pultic wraps and wash his legs down from the show. Rob is picking her up at 10:00. At 11:30 Rob and Katie are heading over the vets office in town to bring Lanie. I have to bite the bullet and realize she is not going anywhere too soon and I need to make sure she has been fixed or if not get her fixed. So she has an appointment to see the vet for a check up, shots and the HIV feline blood test. If she has not been fixed I will schedule that for this week. Not that I want to be spending extra money for a stray cat but they all like her and she likes us. The last thing I need is kittens. So I am being responsible to her even though someone dumped her on us. Bill said (and so did the kids) that we should declaw her and allow her in the house but that is the last thing I need or want. First Cassone would not like it and she is finally coming out more when Cole is not around and the house is quiet. Second with Cole living at my house 50% of the time, he would be chasing her around the house adding to the confusion. Sometimes my head just spins with all this stuff going on. I told Rob once Lanie has been tested and we get her fixed they can bring her into the back patio at night if they are worried about racoons but honestly she has done fine so far without our help. Third my dining room is starting so smell nice again since Tiger is no longer leaving us presents. I have a feeling we would be taking a major step backwards if I allow her inside. Although both Rob and Katie think I should get rid of Cassone and replace her with Lanie....argh!Well I guess I need to get some work done. I have stuff to keep me busy. I need to run at lunch time to the vet and pay him for the work he will be doing in a little bit. Quiet night at our home, I think everyone will be in low key mode, lol. I will let you all know how we make out pool wise.............and cat wise. Have a great day everyone.

Susan I hope Otto is feeling better. You can bring him to my house, one more pet won't make a difference, lol. You can't kennel him downstairs in the basement for the day? Nancy glad to read your auction went well. It is amazing what people will buy. I meant to ask you what you mean when you say you turned chop mean into BBQ but I figured that must mean hambergers, right? Margie glad you had a nice time at the beach and you got to relax. You are way to hot in Texas.......103, no thanks. Good luck painting your bedroom.

I am with you with needing renewed determination. I not only got on the scale, I looked too closely in a mirror. (I am disgusted with myself!) Anyway, let's really concentrate on one day at a time and see if we can get at least two days in a row.

I do believe you have been doing CL for long enough to know what you are doing as long as you get good stock. If it makes you feel any better...we eat a LOT of chicken.

Nice to hear you had a good day yesterday. We had a nice one too...older DD came with the girls and the a4 cousins played very nicely together. The beautiful weather had a lot to do with it since they could stay outside most of the time.

Hope you can catch up on some zzzzzzzzz's...I do know the feeling. Enjoy coffee with your friend.
