Good morning everyone. I just read Karen's post and I'm exhausted! Deb/MN, when you said you exercise
Good Morning,
A warm but not humid day in store for us on LI. It's supposed to heat up again tomorrow but then a couple of cooler days at the end of the week. Is it wrong on Tuesday to already be looking forward to Friday?
Back to the working world today. The boss is taking a week off in 3 weeks so he's on a tear to get a lot of things cleaned up and out of the office. It should be an interesting couple of weeks if he really does do that.
At present the h has lost his D or even a d. He was garbage picking once again from stuff that DS had thrown into the recycling. I've already thrown them out at least twice. When I asked he said he's going to use them to organize his stuff. We'll see how long they now sit in the yard again. DS is going to have a fit! He's trying as hard as I am to throw unneeded stuff out and ending up with the same results that I do. It's so frustrating!!!!
Anyway, not much else going on around here. Not sure I'll get a workout in or not this evening. I originally wanted to get out my bike for a ride. I can't believe the summer is almost over and I still haven't gotten my bike out. Although the thought of everything that has to be moved to accomplish that is a bit daunting. But the h has a wake to attend and I don't want to leave Otto cooped up in the house. So we'll see how the agenda works out.
I'd better get to yesterday's remaining laundry and I want to haul some comforters out to my car for my coworker. She has a house in the Poconos and she said that she can always use spare bedding. A few more things out of here!
Hope everyone has a great day!
Susan

I am back!!!!!!!!!!!!What a wonderful weekend..........well long weekend it was. There is no way I can ever catch up on everything here from last Wednesday so please forgive me. So you want to know what I did? If the answer is no move on to the next post, lol.
Thursday: Picked up my friends at the airport and we stopped at the local bagel store on the way home so they could get their bagels with lox and cream cheese. Came home and made coffee for them and I ate my Jenny Craig. We got them settled in and then we headed over to my sisters house for a swim. We took Cole with us because it was so extremely hot here and my house does not have central AC. We swam and floated for about 3 hours then headed back to my house. We munched on some crackers and cheese and my GFs enjoyed a glass of wine. After we finished they headed inside and took naps, lol the early trip, sun and wine caught up. After they napped I made a huge salad and we grilled some burgers for dinner. We then began to shower and dress and we headed to the pre-reunion at a restaurant down by the water. They have an outside bar along the river that is so nice, with a band playing. We met a few people from school and had a nice night. We were home fairly early (10:30) and then we just sat in their room until after midnight gabbing.
Friday: I was up early for my hair cut and color while they all slept in. They woke up sometime around 9:30 and helped themselves to some coffee. Once home we enjoyed some eggs and fresh fruit and relaxed some more. Helen wanted to buy herself a new pair of capris so we headed to Lane Bryant and after then we went to a really cool gourmet food place where we ordered salads and California Rolls. From there we headed to the nail place were we all had pedicures. I took them back to my house while I went to my nail place for my fingers. I don't do my fingers in the Oriental place just my toes. While I was gone they broke out the wine again and made a happy hour in the AC bedroom with Katie, lol. When I got home the three of them were relaxing with Cole enjoying beverages and salsa and chips. We then started our rounds of afternoon showers to get ready for the Reunion. We had another friend who was in town come to my house and I drove all 4 of us. Out of over 600 kids in my graduation class I would say we only had about 80 people show up. I found that odd, less people then our 20th. Not sure if it was because it was on a Friday night, the cost or maybe both. The reunion was 8 to 12 and after many of us took the party downstairs to the bar where we closed the bar down at 2:30. We got home close to 3:30AM. We had just the best time. Lots of laughs and everyone was so friendly. Even those snotty stuck up ones from the day, lol. Even if you did not know someone or visa versa we all talked.
Saturday: We all pulled ourselves out of bed around 9ish. Helen was up early because her friend John came around 10:00am and they went out for breakfast and the day. They ended up heading out east and did some wine tasting at the wineries and he took her over to the beach and back to his families house where they stayed until after 11:00pm. Christine washed up and headed back to her family around 10:30 and I took Maria back to her moms house around noon. Maria spent the day with her mom and sisters. Katie and I did the barn and then I tried to clean up a little and do some laundry. I picked Maria up at her moms around 7:30 and then Bill took myself, Katie, Stacey, Rob and Maria out to dinner.
Sunday: Helen, Maria and myself caught the 12:00 train into NYC where we walked around a little. They wanted real NY pizza so we ate a slice and talked. Then we walked down to Times Square were we walked around a little then found the theater. They love, love, loved the show, which made me happy since I was the one who picked it out. After the show we walked to Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall. We then headed back to Times Square where we ate at a restaurant called Tony's. It is served family style and we picked two entrees that we shared between the 3 of us. We had sauteed jumbo shrimp in garlic sauce with artichoke hearts and then we had penne pasta with eggplant and mozzarella cheese. Each of us had a glass of wine and yes we had dessert. It was called chocolate decadent (?# it was chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream, fresh raspberries & blueberries, chocolate cake, chocolate ice cream, whip cream, chocolate cake and more whip cream. It was the size of a brick. We then walked back to the train where we collapsed onto our seats and just closed our eyes for the ride home, lol.
Monday: Very low key morning were we sipped our morning tea/coffee and just relaxed. We deflated their beds and packed up their suit cases. We took a ride over to our old hang outs and then over to the High School. We went inside and they allowed us to walk around. We picked Katie up and their suit cases around 3:00 and then we picked up Maria's mom and we took her out with us for an early dinner before they had to leave for the airport at 5:30. We dropped the girls at the airport and waited with them for about 30 minutes before they had to head into the area where the security check is and the gates. We said our goodbyes and then I drove Maria's mom home. I had a good cry after dropping her off because I miss them so much. We had a wonderful time together. They said it was a better trip then the 20th reunion and they just don't know how they can top it when I come down to them next to visit. I am so glad I made them happy and comfortable at my house. I canceled my Jenny Craig weigh in because my timing was a little too tight.
Tuesday: Well back to the real world. Mount Laundry is huge, lol. The washer/dryer are doing their thing. I ran to JC at and faced the music! But I am pleased I did try to make smarter choices this weekend without depriving myself totally and the result is only a 1/2 a pound gain. Not bad and Aunt Flo even showed up on Sunday. Our pool was being worked on over the last few days #if you check out my Facebook page you can see the latest pictures). They had plans on putting the liner in yesterday but is seems it was ordered incorrect and it too large so the pool guy was driving it to NJ this morning to have it recut. I am hoping he either waits around for it and brings it back with him or he gets it back by Thursday. In the meantime we have roofing material on the side yard and I believe they are starting that big project tomorrow. I have not heard from the office and I am honestly afraid to call in and check. I can only imagine what I will face tomorrow, lol. I am going to post my girls weekend photos on face book so please check them out later too. Pictures of the dessert will be included. It scares me to read back this post and realize how much of our lives involve or revolve around our food intake and our drinks, lol. Overall it was a wonderful weekend that will truly make me smile months, even years from now. Having my 2 best friends here was great and it makes me miss them so much. I just don't have that kind of friendship with anyone else and I really do miss it. If you made it to the end of my post then god bless, lol. I have lots to catch up on and need to get a move on it. Hope you all have a wonderful day today!

Waving hello to all! MIA again...just not enough time in the day and well, to be truthful, my frame of mind is not where it should be. I try to concentrate on the good things in my life but I am feeling overwhelmed and not good with keeping my emotions in check.
I had another kick in the teeth at the gym I was subbing at and going to. It seems I am good enough to sub classes but not good enough to have a scheduled class. "My energy is high enough" to get a regular class. Well....I walked out calmly and promised myself never to step in that place again except to pick up my pay. I really think I had my first experience with age discrimination.
It was a good thing in a way...I am now totally concentrating on Zumba and the leads I have gotten. I am subbing tonight at a different gym...body sculpting and kickboxing. Unfortunately I hurt my knee (again) last night and I am not a happy camper. I will do the sculpt class and fake the kick boxing one. I just want to be ok for the Zumba class I have to sub tomorrow morning because it is one of my leads.
Debbie...you seem to be doing very well with Jenny Craig. WTG! Your reunion looks like it was a blast too. My 60th birthday "reunion" was this weekend but I had other family things to do. Next time...maybe!
Will be babysitting for DD Thursday...a "four way" meeting is planned...let's hope things are settled then or it is off to court. My friend is still in ICU...no improvement there. The woman I went up to visit with won't go anymore because she can't see her like that anymore.
Hope to be back soon...just not in a good place right now and I don't want to bore you anymore.
HUGS to all...
Grace
Keep on keeping on!

Ok Karen, I am game for many places in the world, and have been to many places, but Tanzania is a bit extreme for even my tastes.
