I'm pretty sure "Sleepy Saturday" is fitting because it's almost 9 am east coast time and not a morning post yet!

Good Morning Everyone,
We had wicked storms last night.

Good Afternoon,
Never got here this morning as I wanted to finally get back to the jewelry store where DD bought me my beautiful earrings for the wedding. Something happened to the post part of one of the earrings. I hadn't been able to get there and I knew if I was going on a Saturday I would have to get there about the time they opened or I would be standing there for a very long time. They did fix the one and checked the other one to make sure the same thing didn't happen. Wonderful little store with very nice people working there.
I had some gift cards from Penneys and they were having a door buster sale. Being in need of a pair of brown work appropriate shoes I found a nice pair on sale with another 15% off using my coupon when I filled out a JC Penney survey. I saw another nice pair of brown flats and I was torn between the two pairs and opted for the more practical pair. I also found a nice pair of dress black pants that will replace the ones that are too big for me and a cute black and white plaid blouse with a v neck and a ruffle down the front. I also found a pair of brown coudorys for $17.99. Another stop at NY & Co to get DD a gift card for her birthday. I tried lots of things on in there but nothing was on sale. I had a coupon but I know I can do better in there when things go on sale. So I'll just stalk the sales when the time comes. I also made a quick stop at Borders and used my 30% coupon to buy Traveling with Pomegrantes that Margie mentioned. I'm close to finishing the book I'm reading now and will probably pick that one up next. I have decided that it's really difficult for me to shop and choose clothes for myself. I saw two ladies shopping together and asked them for their opinion on the shoes I was looking at. I miss having someone around to go shopping with. I really do miss the girls not being around and not having someone that I can call and say let's go shopping. Seeing the two ladies in the shoe department just made me feel kind of sad.
Back home and I've had lunch and am sipping an afternoon cup of coffee and will probably sit and read for a few minutes. I'm feeling a bit of the guilt for being out all morning. There's really nothing to feel guilty about but obviously I have a ton of things to be done, obviously haven't accomplished any of them and still have the ongoing decluttering process. I really need to get over feeling this way. Anyway, hopefully I'll get a few things done during the course of the afternoon and right now thinking of how I'm going to get rid of the stuff in the utility closet cleaned out without a certain someone noticing. Anyone need a hamster cage? DD had a hamster when we moved here almost 17 years ago and she's going to be 30 this year. But we still have it! Going to get rid of it!. A fish tank anyone? Even though we have another one which currently doesn't house any fish. I guess you get the picture of what awaits me in there!
Margie-enjoy your time with Brock! I do love my crockpot!
Margo-our thoughts of food seem to be running along the same lines. I've been looking at my soup recipes and exploring my cooking magazines looking for new ones to try out!
Better get started on the household part of the day! Enjoy your Saturday!
Susan
Good Afternoon Everyone,
I loved reading Margos talk of Fall foods.

Her other two books were very good. Although Secret Life of Bees was my favorite!
Your crockpot dinner sounds so good! It's almost dinner time here and I don't have a clue! Looks like it might be breakfast for dinner around here!
