Good morning! I put mood into a site and got this picture. Works for me! I am so blessed to have everyone home for 3 days. I love my guys but will be glad to miss them a bit.

Good Morning,
Another absolutely beautiful day here on LI.
Yesterday was great painting weather. It was a beautiful day outside to do things other than painting but that's what was on the agenda. I ended up going back to the paint store since the only primer we seemed to have was an oil based one that you had to clean up with mineral spirits. No real desire to work with that so back I went. I had my usual issues with painting the ceiling. I had the primer on by 12 and by the time I cleaned up and had lunch I taped off the moulding and ceiling and the primer was dry enough to put my first coat of paint on. I even had entertainment from the DJ doing a block party on an adjacent block. Dh who usually doesn't say much about the color really seems to like this. It's such a pretty shade of yellow and I think it's really going to look nice with the white and navy comforter.
Obviously I got nothing else done yesterday. I made an interesting dinner last night called an Italian Tomato tart. The crust is actually brown rice mixed with pesto an egg and parmesan cheese. You layer mozzarella, prosicutto and plum tomatoes and then pour an egg substitue/milk mixture over and bake it in the oven. I wasn't sure what DH's reaction to it would be since it's a bit like a quiche but he really enjoyed it. Otto and I headed out for a walk after dinner and that was really enjoyable.
I'm a bit stiff from the up and down off the ladder and squatting and reaching yesterday. Just goes to show the kind of shape I'm in! I've been whirling and twirling laundry this morning. I made blueberry/banana pancakes for breakfast this morning and I'm sipping on my morning brew while contemplating today's agenda. I'm going to head to the grocery store and then head home and put the second coat on the walls. DH wants to put it on tomorrow night but I know both of us are tired and I would much rather put the paint on in the daylight. DD and SIL are coming for dinner and I'm thinking a sausage stuffed manicotti recipe I found in Cooking Light. I'm going to try another cake in the crockpot. This one a peanut butter chocolate cake. Can't go wrong with that combination in my book! Not sure what else will get accomplished. I'll have to see how long the painting takes.
Donna-you had me drooling over the keyboard yesterday! So many yummy things!
Margo-thinking of you. Hope everything is OK with you.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good morning ladies........like Susan said a beautiful day here on Long Island. Mid 70's I believe, no humidity and lots of sun shine! Yesterday was pretty much the same way. Acutally so was Friday! Busy the last few days trying to clean up, keep up, errands, and relaxing. Not much on any one thing really going on around my house. Bill spent 90 % of his day out in the gargage with the electrician working on the service back there. The electric to the pool, back lights and air compressor are done. They were out there until close till nine last night. I did my normal house work, laundry, bathroom cleaning and so forth. Ran to Bed, Bath & Beyond with Stacey in the early afternoon to buy a new garbage can (which I had been talking about for ages) then we had lunch together at Panera Bread. That was nice right around the time we finished Katie called she was back from the barn and looking for us. So we picked up Katie for a few more errands. Rob was working on a detail job and so Stacey stayed with Katie and I. The three of us ran my Explorer to the car wash and guess what those BoZo the clowns did............they locked my keys in the car, while it was running and in neutral. It came out of the wash zone and the "guy" looks at me and in broken English says "keys"??? I was like what did you say? The guy in the back takes the car and drives it into the car wash the keys are in it. OMG! Now I am blocking the rest of the car wash and they shut everything down, you should have seen the line! I told them to push the car over the little hill (that normally stops the cars as they come out) and get it out of the way. We had to make sure there were enough of the them to push and then stop the truck since it was in neutral running. I do not know the keyless entry code but I will pull my paper out this afternoon and remember it now. They wanted to force open or rather pry open the door with this blow up slim thing and I said no way! I called Bill and he had to stop what he was doing, find the spare key and drive it to the car wash. All this time people are asking me what happened and Katie and Stacey are hysterical. When Bill pulls up Katie says I am out of here thinking Bill was going to crazy, instead he just opens the door, gives me a kiss and says "smile your on Candid Camera". He was not mad at all. They finished the car and we got out of there and finished our errands........late! My house is very quiet for the moment. Rob is up at the shop cleaning it, Stacey picked up Katie and they are getting their monthly mani/pedi together and then Stacey is taking Katie to the mall to buy new sneakers for school, Bill just took my truck to the shop to put the registration sticker on it and I just finished eatting some scrambled egg whites and mushrooms for breakfast (not Jenny). I think I will take my Mustang for a spin this afternoon since it is nice out and do a few things for myself. I also want to take a run to Costco and buy laundry deterent, Zantac for Bill and a case of paper towels. So I have things to keep me busy. First is the shower, lol. Hope you all have a great day today.
Margie I truely admire you and how you allow yourself the time to think things through. I tend to react quick rather then think. I am sure once you speak to your painter things will be fine, maybe he just had a bad day! Susan your yellow sounds nice. We did the yellow in our dinning room 3 years ago and I love it. I change the "stuff" all around it as the season changes..........blues w/yellow in the summer, browns/oranges w/yellow for the fall, red/gold w/yellow for the holidays and then spring kicks back in with the greens. I have all my bins labled in the basement! Karen you amaze me with your lets just paint and move furniture, lol. Projects are a big project around here and we dare not start anything then one thing at a time here, lol. Right now is the pool/back yard/gargage. This should be worked through the fall months and then after the Christmas holidays it will be the kids bedrooms. Finishing up the room downstairs and moving Rob in there, then painting and new furniture for Katie. That should put us right back in the spring and back into racing gear.........see how I have to think! Patty enjoy having your men around I know it is a treat!
