A bit of more summer like weather here on LI. Temperatures up around 80. Just when I think it's time to pack up the more summer like clothes warmer weather appears.
It was another very tiring afternoon at work. Our new employee comes in later in the afternoon and of course that's when I'm in the end of the day frenzy. I asked my boss if there was something specific he wanted her to do and I get just start training her. Well how am I supposed to do what needs to be done for the next day and can't be put off and try to train someone. Fortunately there was some easy to do photocopying but as soon as she was done there she was hovering by my desk. Not her fault and I'm glad she was looking to keep busy but distracting for me.
I came home to find that DH hadn't made the sauce for dinner, he was mumbling and grumbling about the window moldings, he couldn't find his book with the formula to cut crown moldings and this is the last time I ask him to do something extra for a room. He remained calmer than usual when things weren't going quite right but he's always enthusiastic when I suggest a project and then when it comes to getting it done the grumbling starts and it makes me wonder why I asked for it and whether it's worth it in the end. But the window moldings are done and I'm assuming it's going to be next Tuesday before the moldings are up. I'm looking at another 2 weeks at least for this project. Oh well...you would think after 33 years I would know better.
Otto and I took an extra long walk last night when we met up with his walking buddies. We ended up turning around and going back around the park the other way. It's always a faster paced walk in his effort to keep up with his younger counterparts and the bag of cookies! Unfortunately this morning I woke up to a pool of pee. He used the pad that I put down in the spot he's been using. Unfortunately it still soaked through the pad to the floor. At this point I don't know whether this medication isn't the doseage. I'll find out next week when he goes for his retest.
Pork chops in the crockpot this evening. I have to get to making the marinade that they'll cook in. I cut up some potatoes to mash up and some broccoli to roast. DH will be in and out the door this evening so it will be a quick and easy meal to put together.
On that note better get to doing what needs to be done before heading off to the paying, working world.
I've been reading or at least skimming.. Wyatt is becoming more active and is keeping me busier... so is that silly Farmvile... Debbie, I love how you planted your field.. :)
Good Morning Everyone,
It's considerably cooler here today.
