Hi Becky and welcome to the board. We have a varity of ages here, I am 48 so I am not far behind you. God I hated to write that! I have about 30 pounds that I have been trying to loose for about 3 years now and unfortunatly I have good days/bad days.............good months/bad months. Loose 4 or 5 pounds and pack it back on. Right now I am on Jenny Craig and so far I have done pretty good. I am down 8 pounds and I am happy with it. Unfortunatly I don't find the time to exercise and I am sure that would help me loose and keep it off just I feel like I juggle many balls most days. Hang around and get to know most of us. We have a variety of ideas too from exercise to diet. We look forward to getting to know you better.
Welcome to the board. I'm one of the 50+ ladies here and yes I've been struggling with the creeping on pounds since I hit the 40's and the whole peri/menopause issues. Such a magical time!!
I've found that I need to moderate my diet and although I still eat things I love I do have to watch how much and how often I indulge. Like Nancy said, eating well and exercising are the keys but keeping them together can be a struggle. Walking is a great exercise and Nancy had also mentioned weights-inexpensive and very important for bone health.
I do hope you'll stick around and join us here. It's such a great group of women. We discuss just about everything including diet and exercise :)!
