Good Morning,
I never did get here yesterday. It's been a busy couple of days. DD and I took our ride east on Saturday. It was a nice gathering although we didn't get to the farm stand. But it was a nice day for good company and good food. Yesterday, DD and I headed over to the local nursery and picked up some pumpkins. Seems like all the rain over the summer effected the pumpkin crop. We did find some nice ones though which DS is going to decorate with his Mr. Potato Head parts. Won't even get into his addiction to Mr. Potato Heads! We'll just say the wedding photographer was so fasincated with the collection he included a couple of shots of them in the wedding pictures! DD had them framed for his birthday! We also got some beautiful mums for the front steps. I got a red red one and then an orange w/yellow one. I found another cute yellow one in a metal Halloween container at the grocery store. A part of the store already had all their Christmas stuff on display as well as JC Penny being decorated on Friday night when I was there. It gets earlier and earlier every year. DD did our grocery shopping together after that and then home to put the food away. DD went through her gifts and sorted out what she can't use at the apartment and I found a home for those. She has the rest of the stuff piled up to take over to her apartment today. She was going to leave her food processor here but I convinced her that was a gift that was silly to have put in a closet for an undetermined amount of time. I think I'll help her try to reorganize a bit and find a place for her to use that. DD touched up a few places in the new bedroom and we moved the rest of the furniture in there and out of the living room. We pulled out the fall stuff and festooned the house with some fall decorations. The house still needs a major cleaning but it's at least getting to the point of looking a bit more presentable. I made a nice lasagna dinner last night and I had made some s'more cookie bars for dessert.
DS even joined us for dinner which was nice. DD and I watched the Yankee game on and off during the evening while I continued work on DD's pillow.
It will be more running around today. I have a gift card to Crate and Barrel so we'll probably make a trip there along with some other stops along the way. It's rather cool here this morning. I'm planning a meatloaf for dinner which convinced DD to stay for dinner this evening since SIL has dinner plans with a friend. Hopefully I'll get Otto out for a walk as well. We haven't been out in a couple of days.
It would be a normal day off for me and technically start vacation tomorrow! Looking forward to this week off!
Hope you all have a magnificent Monday!
Susan
Good morning,
It's Thanksgiving weekend up here in Canada and since I had to set up an art show last evening, we are having our Thanksgiving dinner tonight.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Shar.
