Good Morning,

The sun is shining and hoping that today will be a much better one than yesterday.

It's so sad when you're glad to see a weekend day come to an end. The day started off fine. Right before lunch I got a call from DH saying that everything was fine at work-I wish he had left it at that. He then got into the "conversation" that he had. We'll just say the conversation was filled with nothing but anger and I'll leave it at that. It left me very upset and he knew it. Shortly after that my SIL returned my phone call about DD's birthday next week. She is very depressed as she has been for many years. I think the end of her treatments put her back into her state. As she lives alone, doesn't drive, doesn't work the treatments gave her a sense of community and that is now gone. She had traded phone numbers with someone she got to know quite well and the person hasn't called. I suggested that she make a phone call in case the person lost her number. She's been on anti depressants for years but I think she's been taking them on an as needed basis which you really shouldn't do with that type of medication. Now she finds she needs them but can't take them since they counterindicate with the Taxoxifen she has to take. The doctor was supposed to call in a prescription that she could use and apparently he or his office staff didn't do that. Needless to say that was another disturbing conversation. The afternoon brought on me dropping a minature teacup that belonged to my grandmother. We shared a love of teacups and she had a really nice collection. This was the first one she ever gave me and was my favorite. I just lost it at that point and I ended up in tears. I burned myself after needing to take dinner out of the oven since I forgot to put the topping on. I took the pan out of the oven using the pot holder but as the pan was sliding off the top of the stove there was no pot holder. I tried working on my Thanksgiving menu but was just too tired at that point. I think I was asleep in the chair by 9.

Yesterday is behind and it's a new day. The day has started out with me finding signs of a furry creature in the basement pantry closet and it's name isn't Otto. We had this problem a number of years ago and DH found the spot and sealed it but either it's managed to find another spot or found it's way back in through the old one. Apparently it has very good taste since the evidence I found was a bar of Ghiardelli chocolate pretty well chewed up. The whole thing just gives me the shivers. I couldn't even stand when DD had a hamster in a cage-furry things-ewwwww!

I have my grocery shopping to do. Peppers to roast for Thanksgiving and DD and SIL are coming for dinner. The usual paying of bills etc. and Otto and I will need to get out for a walk before the sun goes down.

Margie-a very uplifting story about your DD's MIL.

Nancy-hope your day out was as nice as it sounded.

Time to get the show on the road. Hope you all have a spectacular Sunday!

Susan I am sorry to read about your day yesterday. That is not how our day "off" is supposed to go. I am hoping today is better for you. Good luck finding and getting rid of your new furry friend!

Good morning ladies, we have sun but chilly temps. Not sure how warm we will get today but at least it aint raining! We went to Stacey's parents for dinner about 4:30 and got home around 10:30. We had a nice time, enjoyed the night until we got home!!! These furry creatures at my house are pushing Bill & I over the edge. Billy went to Boston on Friday night and left the dog with us for both Friday night and Saturday night. I am hoping he gets back early enough to pick him up, we need a break. He asked his future SIL to watch the dog at their place but she had plans. The young man and his fiancee better start staying home more since they have a wedding to plan and pay for. This little weekend away cost them a little bit of money.......gas, tolls, hotels, concert tickets, food! We put him (Cole) in the kennel when we went out, and he as a good boy. Came home to an excited puppy, lol. After we played and took him out Bill and I decided to watch a movie in the den with our fireplace on, it took

So - I've been MIA for a few days - I had the implant portion of my tooth restoration done on Friday, and they gave me good drugs, and instructions to go home, sleep, no exercise, no lifting or bending, take it really easy for the next 48 hours.
