1. Is there anything you personally would like (or need) for Christmas this year?

1. Is there anything you personally would like (or need) for Christmas this year? <... thinking a material item here ...>I would love the streaming devise they have from Netflix so you can order right from the chair.

2. Thinking back to your childhood, what one Christmas gift stands out in your mind? I love the beautiful doll carriage I got one year but also really loved my Betsy McCall doll with lots of handmade clothes that had been made especially for her.

3. Describe your Christmas Tree to us ... Never quite know what it's going to look like until we pick it out. I tend to not realize how tall they are until my 6'1" DS reminds me and puts the tree up to him and I realize how it's so not going to fit into the living room. He likes them big and full so they take up most of the square footage of the living room and makes sure there are no bare spots! It can be quite the adventure...although if it's as windy and cold as right now it might make for a very short adventure! I'm gone to white lights on the tree and the tree is full of some ornaments that were part of my life growing up some going back to the depression area. We have the ones that we've collected over the years, one that the kids made and the ones that were personally selected for them over the years and I always tried to match the ornament with whatever was special to them that year. I've wrapping the girls ornaments up little by little so that they now can become part of their Christmas trees.

4. Do you have a Stocking? Does it get filled for Christmas? Yes and Yes

5. Any plans for the weekend? Hopefully finish up most of my shopping but best of all a much needed cut and color for the mop on top of my head!

Thanks Karen!

One year my mom didn't get her check in time, and we got coal and switches - she told us Santa must have thought we were naughty that year.

1. I'd like a new jacket. I have long coats - need something casual and warm.

2. My turquoise 24" Columbia bike, and my transistor radio that was the size of a shoebox.

3. 7.5' artificial that I have to build branch by branch. Loaded with white lights - 3 sets of 300 little lights - with three of each kind of ornament, many from Maine or Nutcracker-themed. I use red glass ornaments on the back to keep it balanced (it fell over one year - nothing broke, miraculously). I put on a lot of red velvet and gold mesh bows this year, and my nephew made me 6 origami swans that rest on the branches. A porcelain angel with blonde hair and an ivory gown and wings sits on top.

4. Yes. Sometimes.

5. Yes! Lovin' it, too! Heading to Ogunquit right now for their Christmas festival, then back to Kennebunkport for their afternoon festivities, then to a nice dinner at either Grissini's or Joshua's.

It was fun reading all your answers. Thanks, Karen!

We were amazingly good for the rest of the week, at least!
