“Whatever our individual troubles and challenges may be, it’s important to pause every now and then to appreciate all that we have, on every level. We need to literally “count our blessings,” give thanks for them, allow ourselves to enjoy them, and relish the experience of prosperity we already have.” — Shakti Gawain

Good morning everyone. Hope everyone is well today. Margie, how is work going this week? LI-Deb, how are things in your world? Shar, are you walking outside or is rain

Good Thursday Morning Patty and All!

Good reminder to count our blessings. Sometimes, I get frustrated at not being able to get all of my "Wants" and does help knowing that I actually have most of what I actually Need - especially in these economic times.

Today, the pollen is heavy in the air so am actually looking forward to the rains expected later to wash it away. It's also my day that I plan all the meals for the week so am looking at a couple of new cookbooks given to me by a friend for my 50th birthday: "The Pioneer Woman Cooks" and Julia Child, "Mastering the Art Of French Cooking". Both have wonderful things in them but the next time you are in a bookstore, I highly recommend taking a look at the Pioneer Woman Cooks - Recipes From An Accidental Country Girl by Ree Drummond. This lady lived in Los Angeles for years, went back home to Oklahoma before she was to start a new career in Chicago, met a Cowboy, fell in love and 4 kids later, wrote this cookbook. It has not only fantastic recipes, but awesome photography of her life on the ranch! Makes me want to find a B&B out in the country!

THANKFULS

Old Friends - this board included although I mean it figuratively because we are all still young chicks ;-)
My Family & kitty, Miss Daisy that I named after the loss of my Taffy. Taffy always wore a collar with daisies on it.
The sunshine after such a long winter
Forgiving stretch jeans
The fresh-start of each day with endless positive possibilities

Wishing you all wellness and a wonderful day!

I read or saw something on TV about that woman and her cookbook.

Good Morning,

It was time to pull out the capris/and/or shorts if you dare, t shirts and flip flops yesterday.

Good Morning Everyone,

I decided to take today off so that tomorrow when I leave for our long weekend in San Francisco I will have had time to unwind.

Hi Delighted Deb,

I've been following her blog and website for a couple of years now.

The story of how she and Marlboro Man got together is quite funny and they have an amazing house!!!
