LH, was it you who is/was doing this program? Well, whoever it was, I was wondering if you can do this program at a gym, instead of the home? It seems to be one of the few that work and I am seriously thinking of getting it and just "following a program" instead of trying to make up my own.
And besides, I have 7 weeks left. lol.
1. I can't do it at home, to a point, cuz there's not much room anywhere near a dvd/vcr. So, can I watch it and take the "workout" to a gym? or is it better to do it at home?
2. did it really work? or do i also need to change my eating habits completely (like me going from normal to low-carb). I am working on my proportions and eating a bit healthier. for me, that's huge. lol.
3. i know it's not about diet, but it's about lifestyle change, but i was wondering if this program can kick me into shape. lol. i'd get a trainer again, but at $50 a session, what a waste. especially since he wouldn't give me a "regimine" unless i signed up for another 6 sessions.

***First off you don’t need a lot of room at all, you are pretty much doing squats, lunges, plies, you are not moving around at all I don’t even need to move any furniture or anything when I do it. If you want to do it at a gym, I suppose you could if you could remember all the moves or write them down, or unless your gym provides VCRS that you can use

***I’ve lost 28 inches in 4/5 weeks you tell me if it works. Also I did change my eating habits but only to keeping track and keeping under 1400/1500 calories, but there are days that I go over 2000 because I choose to eat something not good, I don’t stress about the food so I think you would be okay

***It has kicked me into shape, I also incorporated the hypnosis tape which I believe has really helped me to stay motivated. I highly recommend picking it up, its 20 bucks. Also, the slim in 6 program does have an eating program you can follow as well, I don’t follow theres, I just eat what I want and keep track of the calories and try to stay in a range but if it helps to be more structured by following their plan its very nutritionally sound plan.
I don’t buy any of beach body fitness’ supplements, I take regular vitamins and I found a supplement through Oxygen magazine that Bob Phillip’s brother recommends and he is a great person in the fitness world so I trust his recommendation, I love this product, its called LeanSystem7 and its great, I am highly sensitive to some products, Xenadrine, Hydroxycut and those type plans make my head buzz and make me wired. This product, I sweat my ass off when I am working out, you take it 30 mins before your workout and 30 mins before a meal (2 times a day) so I would take it before lunch and before my afternoon workout and it gave me great energy with out that buzz headache.
I would highly recommend slim in 6, I love it…but I’m biased, it has made me lose tons of inches in such a short time. You use resistance bands with it as well so my arms look fabulous and I am developing really nicely shaped shoulders too.
Thanks!!
I am going to buy it right now. =) I have little space, but if it's just lunges, squats and stuff, I'm fine. like I do those ball workouts, and I have BARELY enough room, but enough. No way I could do a full aerobic as there's no where to go. =)
28 inches huh? I'd be happy with 10. I'm going to try this. I'd rather not take supplements as my heart-rate runs high as it is, and I don't want anything to kill me. lol. But thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll stick to a multivitamin. ANY suggestions ANYONE? lol.
Okay. Gonna go purchase it. Next week starts my "7 weeks left until hawaii". =) I just hope I don't have to buy too much new clothes. i'm broke. oh well, i'll just go dig out my "old" stuff.
thanks.
Okay! So, I just ordered it. What a PAIN it was to do over the phone. I think they tried to sell me everything in the book. Jeez. I couldn't do it online, because their website is acting up.
LH, did yours take up to 2 weeks to ship? CS just said, you'll get your stuff in 1-2 weeks. Jeez!!!
Oops. I just realized that I wanted them to ship it to my work, not home. Oh well!

I didn't know there was a speedy mail fairy. wow! I am so out of the loop with these fairies. lol
Woohoo!!! It came in the mail yesterday. I'm going to "officially" start on Monday, but I'm going to try to figure it out tonight. I'm so uncoordinated, I have a hard time following ANYTHING on video. Or in person. Hence, I am always the dork in the back hitting everyone cuz I'm going the wrong way. lol.
Let's hope this works. I am going to try to eat better too, so I can lose faster. I will keep everyone updated. So far, I haven't really lost
Also you only do the start it up for a couple days, so make sure to check out ramp it up before doing so, I did this before starting the burn it up and thank god so I was prepared because burn it up is a lot harder. I fell off for a couple weeks of doing it so I went back this week to the ramp it up, and then next week I'll start back in with burn it up, daylight savings screwed my whole schedule up for about 3 weeks UGGH!
I hope you like it. When I first got it, like I said I did it for 2 days and then put it away, but when I started it back again, I really got into it. You just have to be prepared for the burning thighs the next days, all those squats, lunges and plies are killer.
Thanks for the head's up. Tonight I was going to try the first one, just slowly, and then go over the others while I do some ab work or something. Like you said, to see what I'm up against, I want to be prepared, cuz I do NOT want to fall off of this wagon. =)
I really want this, and if this can start me off with a BANG to my final weight loss goal, so much the better. Yup, I have commitment issues about going to the gym for the next 5 years trying to lose weight, you know what i mean. lol. So, this 6 week program will be great for me. I plan on continuing it when I get back from HI, assuming I'm not where my goal is. If I am, then I'll start going to the gym for "upkeep". or doing the slim in 6, but less days a week until i find where I'm good at. you konw, burning enough food, but exercising enough days w/o doing it 6 days a week.
ah, thansk for this. I need somethign "fast" that will get me jump started. I was never good at being patient. Even if I only lose the 10lbs I want, good enough to get me motivated. Let's hope this works. It did for you, so I'm hoping it will for me.
and yup, i'm prepared to be SORE! lol. but that's okay. as long as i'm not as sore as my first workout with my trainer. I was so bad off, I couldn't walk. LITERALLY. and he wasn't too sympathetic about it. Just pushed me harder the next time. Kinda made me lose faith in the guy, y'know.

The first week of doing the Ramp it up when it came to the squat section I just jogged in place, my legs couldn’t handle the squats after all the lunges and plies. Then there is a section when you are doing pushups, well I didn’t have the strength so what I did was did the pushups against a wall until I built up my strength enough to do them on the floor. I found that it was best to modify and do what I “could” rather than push myself to do their move and then either get frustrated or hurt myself and not continue on with it.
Plus the resistance bands are different. I’m used to free weights, so to use the resistance bands was a whole other experience, my muscles felt like I had never lifted weights in my life. LOL
