No celebrations here, but May is promising to be busy.

I am turning 31 in May. YIKES!

The only thing I worry about as I get older is never being a mom.

I'm 6 lbs away from my first goal I set for myself, which is to be below 200 lbs. I've been steadfastly sitting at 206 for the last few weeks. Frustrating. Once I meet the 200 mark I will then set a new goal for 180, 20 lb incriments are best, I meet my goals quicker than the long run of a total of 80.

Anyhow...here's to hoping that this summer I can wear a sexy bathing suit.

Like Calie- I don't really have much celebrating on my months agenda- but May is always a busy time for me!

Work wise:

  • Three days of parent conferences within the next 3 weeks

  • Mother's Day gifts to prepare :-)

  • An introduction to Montessori meeting for new parents

  • Getting my 11 graduates ready for the next level

  • End of year activities

Socially:

  • Two good friends of mine are leaving the island next week

  • A friend is coming down on vacation in 2 weeks, for a week

  • And another one

Calie- looks like a hectic month ahead of you! But I have to say that they all look fun, which is nice for you and your family. And the great thing is you can really look forward to that vacation at the end of it all!

Ah....your May is my February....when all that insurance, etc...has to be paid! I feel for you, but as you say- you are saving money w/out smoking, so that should help a little anyway!

Mom's May! For sure....any special plans for her?

The biggest day in May for me will be May 21st. It is my 7th anniversary. DH and I will be renewing our vows while we are at a remote campsite with our closest family and friends.

There is also Mother's Day for me with my DH and 4 kiddos, then for MIL and DH and kiddos.

My sons 8th grade graduation (formal) dance.

Escrow closing on our house here (we purchased the house we were renting)

And all the regular goings on of life.

May 1st we officially had all the business license requirements and fictitious business name statement and all that goes along with the "I am self employed" we pulled it all together, We are now Handy Andy Home Maintenance and Repair. Legitimately. (have been on the side for several years).
