Jr. vs Women's...from another post

I just bought the cutest shorts at Wal-Mart. I got a jr. because that is where all the cute short shorts are. To be honeset, the last five or six pair are junior's. I have heard that odd sizes are jr. and even are women's. What is the difference in your opinion on junior versus ladies/women's sizes as far as fit and literally size?? Thanks in advance.

I find some of the cuts are a bit different between juniors and women's.

I'm with Miranda, about the hips and legs. lol. Although I have the same problem.

My thougths is that they juniors are cut more "slim" than women's clothing. Even the slim fits of women's aren't quite as slim as the juniors.

And as I said in my other post, I am a size 10. I wear a size 13 in juniors. Can't even get CLOSE to fitting the size 11's. So, I think there's more to it than 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 etc. Because if it's a 9/10, shouldn't I fit in 9's? I can't. No matter WHAT they are, there's no WAY I can get my big butt and thighs into those tiny little things. lol.

But seriously. I think the sizes are more farther apart. Like I said. I wear a size 13 in juniors. And yes, I like the shorts in those sizes better too. But then again, I like the low waisted ones. I tried 11's, they were a lot more tight, and tight in the leg area too.

It's like, no juniors have hips or something. lol

That's my take.

I think that Juniors are cut smaller. I can fit in to 11 in regular sizes but now way in Junior sizes. They make the clothes so tiny but they are so much cuter. I guess if we rembew we used to be that way before kids. Its impossible to have the same body but I think we can get close we just have to work harder at it. My filing clerk at work is a size 5. EVrything looks so cute on her heck I fell like a toal frump next to her.

I wouldn't even think of going into a junior section....maybe I should, lol! I'd be interested to know more about this too....is a junior section "kids" stuff?

I'm confused. I do believe anything that is an ODD number IS junior sizing. Anything in EVEN numbers are considered "women's". So, if you're wearing a size 11. That IS juniors.

In the past I've thought *alot* about the way pants are cut.

Hmmm I always thought the Juniors section was for teens/early 20's girls.

I would say it is, Lovin', but why should they get all the cute hip clothes? The last few shorts I bought are junior size low rise/hip huggers and S-H-O-R-T! I have killer legs, and I can pull it off well. Not trying to brag, but why not....

Oh I’m not saying you can’t shop there, that’s where I shop when I especially go to Target or Walmart but I never realized it was for ADULTS with odd sized clothing. I just thought it was for teens/20 somethings.
