I'm not on any diet. Overall, I am choosing just to make a lifestyle change and that means, eating in moderation, making better choices, and well, giving into my cravings if needed. I am going to screw up but overall, if it's a lifestyle change, it's not going to happen overnight.

I think I'm eating better than I was a month ago, but I also know I could be making better choices too.

Well, I guess I'm just trying to follow some basic guidelines:

  • Try to follow the Glycemic Index in terms in carbohydrates

  • Cut out most simple Carbs (refined sugar, white flour, non-whole grains)

  • Increase dietary fibre (more whole grains, brown rice, whole wheat pasta)

  • Less processed food, no frozen dinners, less fast food

  • More healthy fats

  • Increase protein

This has been working for me, I generally don't feel hungry, I've lost about 5 pounds in 3 weeks, and my body feels great!!

Wow! I give you credit. I'm such a lazy person, so doing all that would take too much work and I"d quit. lol. Great diet though.

I am still pretty terrible with portion control, so I've resorted to using my measureing cups for serving spoons, that way I'm sure I'm only eating 1/2 cup instead of a whole cup!!!

It really sucks how quickly it all adds up!!!

Cheryl, this sounds just like me! (Did I post earlier??) anyway....I am pretty much doing the moderation thing, but have been seriously thinking of low-carb for a while. I just don't know how successful I'd been on it, as I not only enjoy food, but I love carbs....I would choose a pasta dish over a steak most times!

Anyway...I will look at my food journal and see where I could at least CUT DOWN on my carb intake!!

I voted Combo 'cuz I'm trying to eat healthier to be healthier...I'm watching calories, fat and eating in moderation ex: no more eating 4 servings of ice cream at a sitting ;) and not really denying myself anything

I am on LA Weight Loss

It is portion & calorie control. They tell you the portion sizes & what is in each food catagorie. There is not much thinking which I like a lot.
