OK...I'm ready for it ladies!

The weather is miserable today, but that's fine as I will be able to fit this in either this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

Kim, Steffy, Pam and Miranda- have your got those sneakers on? Have you gone yet? Anyone else care to 'join' us? Just think how great it will feel to be out there hitting the turf knowing that others are doing the same...maybe not right beside you, but we're together in spirit!

Come on join us!

Post here about your time on the road- tell us about what you were thinking, how you were feeling and what you were seeing!

Have fun ~IG

Well as Kim and Miranda were posting their posts I was out there walking and running thinking of you all! I got to the park at about 1.40pm and walked the first mile, and alternated walking and jogging between the speed bumps for the next 2 miles. I finished at just about 2.20, so I figure an average of about 4.5mph :-)
It felt great!

Let's see...
I was thinking of you guys, and how much I appreciate all of you for who you are and what you do! I was also thinking of how my calves were killing me, lol- but in a *good* way!
I was looking around and because it was grey and chilly (in my mind) it felt like I was somewhere other than a small island in the Caribbean! In fact if felt very like a summer day in Ireland! There were only about 3 other people at the park, and they were in their cars. During my last mile an ambulance went by....and I thought 'u-oh did someone think I was about to collapse or something' - but I think they were just out and about as they just did a quick turn around....who knows maybe they were in fact checking up on me, lol!
I was feeling just GREAT! And the rest of the day has been just as productive! Those energy vibes have kept me going. I've finished doing my classroom orders (and managed to order over $1,200 of stuff!!), that too feels great to get done with!

I'm hoping to go tomorrow as well, maybe just 2 miles- I'll see how I'm feeling and listen to what my legs are telling me.

This was a great idea ~IG

Glad to hear your run was so great IG!!! Glad to also hear the ambulance didn't have to carry you back home. LOL

I just got back a little while ago!! I had a great walk with dh for 70mins. about 10k. When I got back I went for a 5k run in 32 min.

It is gray, over cast and cool here this morning. I was really hoping for a nice sunny day, oh well. Dh and I walked to the board walk and back home. The water was really choppy because it is so windy. Lots of white caps. It was very quiet not many people around this morning.

I was thinking about you all and thinking about how much I enjoy this board. I never really knew there was such a thing out there as this but I am so happy to have found you all. (I am a little green with all these sites and boards.) I was telling dh about some of the things going on, (not that he really gets it or cares, you know that man thing!! LOL) and he said it sounds like a living soap opera!! I told him, "yeh only better"!!!

I am so happy we did this!!! Lets go again tomorrow morning!!! LOL

Well, today I went with dh and the dog. I was thinking that I really need to do this more often with her (the dog) because she kept cutting me off. How I didn't bite the dust atleast one time is beyond me...LOL! She does better the faster she goes, but all in all she just needs some more leash training. She is a good girl.

I feel great now!! I love the energy it gives me the rest of the day. I am kinda stinky though, so off to the shower I go....

Oh Kim....you've made me homesick ;-)

The image you paint for us "It is gray, over cast and cool here this morning. The water was really choppy because it is so windy. Lots of white caps. It was very quiet not many people around this morning", reminds me of walking around the harbour in my *old* hometown. It's a good homesick, don't worry!

You had a great walk and run this morning, it must have felt wonderful- all that fresh air! And you're right (or was it dh?) this place IS like a soap opera at times...

Sounds like you and the dog had a fun time together ;-)

Isn't is great to have that *energy* last all day long?

I am bummed!! TOTALLY bummed!! I didn't get to go. I would have went in the rain, but it lighteninged the whole friggin weekend!! We've been having these horrible storms. Tornados and all.. DBF didn't even get to golf. They never even opened the course up. And it's most likely going to be cancelled again tonight. THe lightening is NUTS!!! We were ~trying~ to watch "somethings gotta give" last night when the lightening hit REALLY close to our house. Knocked the TV and stuff off with that power surge. (OK, so maybe we should never have HAD the TV on in the first place..lol). SO, after the outtage, we said "Well, lets just go to bed..." and we did and it was a light show right outside our bedroom window. We were talking as if we were watching fireworks. "Ohhh that was a big one!!" "Wow.. did you see that one?? what a boomer!!" Then off to dreamland we went... I REALLY hope I get my walk in today. I feel like a stuffed pig right now...lol. Sorry ladies... this means we HAVE to do it again so I can go this time... PLEASE?!?!?!?!?

Sorry you never got to go for that walk Pam, but probably safest that way, lol! I love lightning shows- was there much thunder? I have to say I'm not a bit fan of thunder, when I'm alone....but with someone to share it with can be good ;-)

*Hope
