On the front, just the words "Getting fit in your 30's" written in a unique font or something... like over the left breast area (as if there was a pocket there.. know what I mean?? ) then on the back, a picture of a dragon fly in the middle and words going around it that describe who we are.. the type of women we are..
beautiful, vibrant, intelligent, graceful, daring, successful, fit, healthy, passionate, strong, courageous, loving, caring, supportive, motivated, happy, ... those sorts of words... and at the bottom.. say "With this life filled with new light and joy, we'll let our true colors shine through! That's what getting fit in your 30's is all about..."
Any ideas?? And I'd be more than willing to share my dragon fly for the idea (the one that I plan on getting a tattoo of.. (man, thinking about this makes me want to go out and run... maybe these T-shirts will be a great motivator too..lol). The dragon fly that I have is deep blues and purples. After lots and lots of searching, it's by far the best one I've come across. Absolutely beautiful. ORRRRR... we could do one that we all design together somehow.. that way it will be OUR dragonfly.. with LOTS AND LOTS of color.....
What does everyone think? I've done a rough draft. I can't paste it here (wish I could) anyone that wants to see, I'll e-mail it to you??

Pam your idea sounds great, I would make the following suggestions:
1) No pocket, money and preference (for me, I prefer no pockets!)
2) Offer the design 2 ways, one with the butterfly, and one with the dragon fly, with everything else being identical, I think the butterfly or dragon fly would work.
This sounds so exciting!!!!
you can email me at miranda_d@shaw.ca with the design, I'd love to see it!!!
Pam, email me the picture and I'll post it to the board so we can all see it.
Also, What do you guys think of putting the japanese character of WATER over the words in the front, instead of the dragonfly? Incorporate our running......to the restroom that is. lol.
Gotta go and read everythign now.

Okay. I love the internet. I did a quick quote on one site and the shirts shouldn't cost that much. But it depends on how many colors you have. ALSO, I've had custom t-shirts made before, the MOST expensive thing is "set-up" especially when they make the plates. And of course, color.
I made like 6 shirts, 2 colors, front and back design (small one in front), and the cost per shirt was like $18, but set up was almost $200. Just a thought. It could be cheaper.
Pam, send me the picture, I'll set it up online and see how much it would cost and I can figure out the color too.
Now, a few things.
1. Dragonfly/butterfly - either works for me. Although I would love to add the water symbol somewhere. =) If not, that's fine.
2. Pockets/no pockets - no matter to me. i'd prefer w/o
3. color? i think you could choose between white or black w/o it costing extra. the ones i did for my friend were black and they are Hanes Heavy ones and in great shape. They're about 8 years old and still holding up very well. And i love how it fits. lol.
4. love the wording =)
5. no other ideas. i like yours pam. it was good.

I know from personal experience with hockey teams the first time you have a design made using your own pictures and words and not something generic it cost a lot of money. I think around 100.00. This is only for the design to be drawn up and pattened so that we are the only ones who can use it. We can pick a design the print shops have but it is usually very simple and not usually very nice.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that is how it is here in Canada, it may be different there. If there are say 20 of us then it won't add too much to the price of a t-shirt anyway. Just thought you should be given the heads up.

More laters.. (I'm starving... maybe we need to add the symbol for food.. kidding..lol)
Here's what Pam is talking about....
I'm doing some stuff. But I'll post what I have asap. You guys will love this. I hope. lol.
So far, Pam, the most hardest part will be the colors of the dragonfly, shading requires more color than 3. BUT, if your dragon fly is ONLY 3 colors FOR SURE, even better. =)
