And then a bad day...

OK, this is how I know that if God takes a human form, God is not a women. First, if God were a woman, you wouldn't get a pimple the same time you started getting wrinkles, and second, there would be no such thing as the type of mirrors found in store dressing rooms with unyielding floresant lights above them.

After having four really good days, I stumble across a bad day and my reaction is the same: eat. In one day, I have my three year old ask me if I'm having a baby because "your tummy is big" and then I have to go to a pool-party (already it's in the upper 80s and low 90s here and it's only May) where I am the heaviest woman there - or at least that's how it feels. Does anyone else ever feel like they are the only one who's not in shape? I heard on the news that right now 60% of Americans are overweight but I feel like none of them live nearby. (Yes, sometimes misery loves company...)

Finally, if those two events weren't enough, I then have to find something to wear to my brother-in-law's upcoming wedding. "Show off you're best parts" the experts say but what happens when you've lost your best parts? Literally, I feel like I don't have a best part any longer. It was so painful trying dress after dress. The sales clerk bravely bringing the next one, saying "I'm sure this will look nice" only to find it doesn't go over my hips or I look like a piece of chintz furniture...And who needs to see what you like from behind? Really, I could do without that...Soooo depressing....I finally bought a dress - black of course - but I feel like I'm at the point where black doesn't even help.

I sound so pitiful. I'm sorry. I don't mean to but right now I feel like I'm so far away from my former self that I'll never get there again (and so I turn to the thing that has helped me to get to this position - food, and the cycle starts again. Now I'm thinking, "well June is only a couple days away. Maybe I'll start my diet on June 1st".)

Venting helps...

Thanks for listening

PS: - cl vi_islandgirl: my friend said you can get free samples of True Lemon at www.truelemon.com. As I said, I think it's a good substitution for Crystal light because it's just powdered lemon without artifical sweeteners but it still has 0 calories and 0 carbs. Also, I don't know if you have any of them around you but you can buy Go Lean Cruch at Traders Joe's much cheaper then in regular grocery stores.

Try drinking several cups of green tea with lemon for the bloating. I know a few people that swear it helps with the bloat AF brings with her. You will be visiting the ladies room often so keep that in mind.

Be well & have a great trip in HI
