Just want to share. Finally, broke through 8 month plateau!!!!!! I did not come in the form I was expecting, I wanted to my scale to reach up and give me a hug.

But instead, it said I was 7 pounds heavier, ever since I started my muscle routine, but then I got out the tape measure, and my measurements were an inch less on my thighs, hips and stomach. (And I think you can see lines in my stomach, whoohoo!!!)

Ive doing Denise Austins "Shrink Your Female Fat Zones" and unlike most resistance tapes out there, she uses weights, which I upped mine to 10 and 12 pounders. I saw the results in two weeks, phenomenal. And during this time, I through my low carb regime out of the window.

I got off the low carb thing, since, I just could not handle weakness and fatigue. Even though it works, I guess low carbing is just not for me.

Way to go on the loss of inches. Muscle weighes more that fats so you probably exchanged fat for muscle.

keep up the good work.

Wow..that's fantastic news and now I know I'm not kidding when I say 'I don't care if I weigh twice what I weight now, as long as I fit in my size 12 jeans!'.

Good going... it's great to hear your great news!!

woo hoo! That's great. Sometimes those scales are deceiving (I hate them personally!) but the tape measure is a true judge. Keep up the great work and positive attitude! Maribeth

WAY TO GO!!!!

You have worked hard to lose those inches, so let's find a way to keep you motivated!!!!

Maybe make a chart to hang on the fridge that shows how many inches you lost, or set up some rewards for yourself!!!

You can do this!!!!

Well done on becoming a size smaller, isn't it weird to see that happen with the scales going the other way? Just goes to show that the scales is

Hi and congratulations on your accomplishment!

Two years ago I had my third child and have about 20 lbs or so on me to get off. During the last two years, I have to admit, I have been on this dieting and exercise rollercoaster. For a couple of weeks I will be doing OK, then when I see the scales climbing after the many miles on my exercise bike or walking and using my ankle weights and hand weights, I get so frustrated. I stop because of the weight gain! I am trying to remind myself that it takes a while to build the muscle and burn the fat.

It is hard to lose weight and exercise alone. I know I need some support, but don't know where to turn. My dh works a lot, a friend of mine was suppose to walk with me - she doesn't, others I have asked to walk with me find a reason not to....

Lately, I have thought about calling my dr to get something to give me a jump start so I will see something positive sooner and avoid quitting.

Today, I bought a pair of shorts I would not ordinarily wear to lift me a bit. Usually I try looking at myself in the mirror to scare me into losing the weight and keep motivated. I think that just depresses me more.

So sorry for rambling, or whinning - depending on how you look at it..

I really do admire those who have been successful. Hopefully I will be too someday.

BTW: I joined Summer Shape Up Community Challenge - we'll see how I do on that, but until then I will be trying to keep going..
