Alright you've packed your bags, ready to hit the road...you're happy to be going away-

1. Does your exercise routine take a back seat?

2. Do you make an effort to formally exercise on vacation?

3. Do you exercise in other ways on vacation?

4. Do you bring equipment with you?

5. Are you going away this summer? If so, where to?

A couple of years ago I went on a cruise.

I got up every morning at 7 am and walked the track and then worked out in the gym doing weights. I didn't gain ANY weight on the cruise despite me eating very well and eating dessert every night.

Usually if I am somewhere that doesn't have a gym i just try to walk.

1. Does your exercise routine take a back seat?

The routine - if I have one - takes a back seat. But I do try to get in exercise.

2. Do you make an effort to formally exercise on vacation?

Not in a gym. I try to be active.

3. Do you exercise in other ways on vacation?

I swim if there is a pool or ocean. I usually do not have a car so I do a lot of walking

4. Do you bring equipment with you?

Sneakers, my feet and a good attitude.

5. Are you going away this summer? If so, where to?

Yes Arizona (Grand Canyon, Sedona & Winslow). I can not wait

1. Does your exercise routine take a back seat?

I would love to say no to this question, but I just started my routine 3 weeks ago, and I think it will probably take a backseat at least 2/3 of the time I'm gone.

1. Does your exercise routine take a back seat?
It really depends on where I'm off to, and for what reason- usually though it takes a back seat!

2. Do you make an effort to formally exercise on vacation?
Sometimes- like getting up early and going for a walk- going hiking, swimming, boating, etc...

3. Do you exercise in other ways on vacation?
Yep- like above w/swimming, hiking or boating

4. Do you bring equipment with you?
Usually just a comfie pair of sneakers

5. Are you going away this summer? If so, where to?
Yep....going back to Ausin, TX w/Bubba at the end of July, for about 3 weeks

I agree, getting to a gym while on vacation is hard to do, but being active is something you can enjoy, and most times look forward to.

When are you off to Arizona?

I would love to go on a cruise sometime- maybe after I've won the lottery, lol!

Good for you for being so good going for walks in the morning, I'd need to do something like that also, just to make sure that all that good food didn't pile up on my hips, lol!

Well I went the spring after 9/11 all vacations were pretty low, I used my income tax return. With flight and the week long cruise I paid 1200 bucks. I could never understand how people gained weight on cruises because I was on the go nonstop the entire time except on days we were "at sea" We went into ports, shopped, did excursions. So on top of just the walking and weights in the morning, we climbed a rainforest in Gaudalupe and shopped for four hours straight in Aruba, we were suppose to go snorkeling in Antigua but it was too rough waters to get out to the coral reefs. Also we would eat breakfast, mainly toast, yogurt or sometimes eggs, we only had lunch on the boat twice I think the entire time we were there (and probably both days at sea) and every night had full appetizer, soup/salad, dinner and dessert every since night for dinner.

However there were people on the ship that never left the ship except for when they got to aruba. Seemed to me a waste of money to go on a cruise if you just wanted to see aruba, why not just go to an all inclusive, at least your alcohol would be included in an all inclusive.

July 17 - 24 I will be in Arizona. I can not wait to get away. My 'life' is getting to be to much. This summer I will be some major job soul searching.

Oh I agree- you go on a cruise to *see* lots of places for a somewhat reasonable price...but it seems that some people (guess they have the money >sigh<) just go to be out at sea!

Though I've lived in the islands for ten years I haven't been to many of them- that's why I really would love to go on a cruise, at least I could say I knew the surrounding area, lol!

I'd love to go on one that included- St. Barts, St. Kitts, Antigua and Dominca- I either know people on these islands or know people from them who now live here....
SOME DAY ;-)
