I love this magazine. It is so much more informative than all the other fluff fitness magazines out there.
Here is a very interesting article about Multivitamins
"People spend billions of dollars a year on vitamins and food supplements. High -grade ingredients are expensive, so some unscruplous companies cut corners to remain profitable. ConsumeLab.com does independent analyses of supplements to help people evaluate prodcut quality and effectiveness adn publishes results at www.consumerlab.com. Their tests show that many products we buy do not contain what is listed on the label. They tested 40 multivitamin and mineral products and found that nearly 1/3 were deficient in the amount of important vitamins or minerals.
Notable failures include
Theragram -M Advanced Formula High Potency (too much lead)
Avon Vit - Advance Womens's Complete
Polaris CustomPak supplements
Ones that passed!!
GNC Womens
Advanced Formula Centrum
Geritold
Juice Plus
Puritans Pride
One a Day Woman's Multi
Walgreens and Woman MultiStart (Dr. Michael Murray)

"Theragram -M Advanced Formula High Potency (too much lead)" - & I thought lead was bad for you. I guess this is a good example of why we should get our nutrients directly from food & not rely on pills.
