The plateau from down yonder

I am sitting atop the ugliest plateau. I haven't budged a couple of weeks now. I have increased my cardio to one hour of cycling (new thing for me and I love it!!). I haven't ran in about two and a half weeks now. I am super sweaty when I get home and I think I am riding hard enough. The hour flies by, literally! The first time I rode, I didn't realize how long I had been gone. I am cycling twice as long as I would run and increasing my distance (and speed comes with that) every few days and staying within my hour. Today I took a different trail with much different terrain, but tom am I will go farther now that I know how long it takes to get back home.

Dont' you just hate this part????? Wish me luck, I know we've all been here.

Good luck. After losing 30lbs, I wonder if I'm at some sort of plateau and that's why it's been HARD for me to lose much more. Granted, I'm not trying as hard as you, but dang, those first 30lbs were easy.

Here's to losing at least 5. =)

Michelle- I'm just wondering something here...would it be possible, although you are 'exercising' longer than a couple of weeks ago and going further in distance, that you burned more calories when running? I would think that you do--

Maybe a reason for no drop in the scale...also have you measured lately? (or maybe wait to do that after TOM, lol!)

In any case- good job on getting out there and doing something!!

Ya know, IG, I did not measure. I have started lifting, if you can call it that. Once a week, after my class I work the big muscles. I need to get more religious with it, but I can't really say it is even a "habit" yet. I'll measure everything tom and keep an eye on some change there. Thanks!

Cher, pms, you cracked me up. Just went through all that!! LOL! Can't count those three pounds 'cuz I went up 3 (ugh!) and down 3 (phew!!).

Well, don't forget, muscle weighs more than fat, so with the weight lifting, and maybe the different type of exercise, you're building more....so don't forget to take that into consideration. =)
