Weights after surgery???

What do you guys think? I was told not to do anything strenuous, like working out. But, I was wondering, what do you think about weights? Like, I have an exercise band, and was thinking of doing bicep curls, tris, things like that. But nothing like sit ups, push ups, etc.
Do you think that'd be okay? I should be clear by this friday to do whatever I want, but until then, I'm getting antsy at doing SOMETHING.
Your thoughts?

If it were me, I think I'd be taking it easy until you are recovered! If the doc recommended not to do any strenuous then I'd listen! Better to be safe than sorry. Just my opinion....but I understand the whole antsy thing. Maybe a 'stroll' in the evening would be ok though!

Weights are more strenous.
When I had my gallbladder out they told me 9 weeks nothing heavier than a gallon of milk, I felt better after two weeks, took the trash down to the corner and almost passed out.
Listen to the Doc!!!!!
Ah, you guys suck. lol. Just kidding. Alright, nothing until I get cleared. I'm getting cleared Friday (assuming all is well) and that's that. lol. They told me I would actually be fine to do things within a week, but don't want me to do a thing until I'm cleared. And I'm not. I'm being good.
I did walk for 4 hours yesterday (home show) , and was exhausted, but then again, so was DBF. lol.
Dee, just remember, no gall bladder bit here. lol. Just to small snips.
BUT YES, I will listen to you guys. Nothing until I get cleared on Friday. BTW, I'm playing golf on Saturday. lol. At least that's not TOO strenuous, just need to be flexible. And yes, if I'm clear, I already asked, and they said I will be fine. =)
