My name is Sherri and today was the day. I have been doing low-carb for about 6 months and I have no energy and no motivation. Yes it is great to see my weight go down but if I eat one wrong thing I gain tons back. Today I started my low-calorie and exercise plan. I am 34 and am tired of all the gimmicks. To be honest if its gonna happen its gonna happen because I make it happen. I have four children so getting out of the house to walk is a little difficult, so I bought a treadmill. I feel wonderful today. Im eating at the In-Laws tonight and for the first time it isnt going to be horrible. If there is something I want to eat, I will. I am starting to believe everything people have told me about exercising is the key. I just had to share how great I feel today :)

WElcome to the board!!! WEll, it sounds like you have a great attitude!! I have to say that while a lot of the diets out there work, they are not for everyone.

I too tried the low carb thing and it wasn't for me..like you i had no energy..i run and lift weights 6 days a week and eat what i want to..just not as much..and i feel great..i think any weight loss program that tell you that you can't eat a certain food..you should watch out for it..Good Luck with you weight loss..
