Hello all! I'm new to this board and want to say Hi. I am a 34 year old blob of fat. I say that because my body fat % is 47% almost half of my body is fat!!! Before I turn 35 in 19 weeks I would like to go from my 200 pound jiggle, untoned, unheathly body to a firm, toned, fit, healthy 137 pound person. I walk now but want to run. I can eat healthy for a few days then crave cookies, nachos, candy, pepsi, coffee. I need HELP! I need willpower, support, advice. A healthy lifestyle. I hope I can find that here along with some buddies. My first question is that of calorie intake. How much should I be eating each day in order to lose 2.5 - 3 pounds per week? I think I am averaging about 30,000 calories per week. If I cut out 3500 x3 per week then that would leave me having arounf 1650 - 1700 per day right? Am I thinking correctly with this? What is the best way to lose weight - no pills - that will be healthy and quick?

Thank you.

Boy, am I glad I found this board. I was alarmed about Vicky's speed of loss goals, and am so glad to see people advocating the baby steps! Woo-hoo!

Hi everyone, I'm new here too. I also believe in the baby steps approach. The way I see it, any something is better than nothing at all. - Val
