Did any of you watch this show last night at 8 on NBC???

I felt myself crying several times listening to these peoples confessionals and such. WOW!!! I want that girl personal trainer. Some of them lost 22 lbs in ONE week…if I saw results like that I’d be THRILLED!

I watched it. I didn't think i would like it but I did. The girl trainor got results but what a bi**h. I would love to take part in a program like that. I think they should have kept everyone until the end and then the bigest loser gets the money. I am motivated to set up a plan for myself.

She was a b**ch but she got results. I would need that yelling behind me. If she can get two of them to quit smoking too that would be awesome. I found myself rooting for the red team since they had 5 extra lbs added on to their total because they lost the competition.

I'd do something like this if my weight wasn't broadcast on national TV. LOL

Well they showed a picture of the girl that got kicked off and she lost an additional 15 lbs when she got home by following what they taught her, so a total of 20 lbs (her goal was 30) and she looked great.

It goes down until all of them are down and whoever is still there, whoever is the biggest loser weight wise, wins 250k.

I'm a little leary of this show, only because I think it could be potentially dangerous for those who are not part of the program, but who will try to follow what the show is doing for these people.

I was talking to my therapist about this show. He said it's so sad that ppl do this, and that ppl watch. lol.

And he was telling me how a competition was, "they put cupcakes out and the first to eat one gets booted", i'm like, how is THAT helping anyone?

I dunno. I don't care for reality shows. It plays too much on the emotions of ppl. It hurts them, and I am not to sure about the ppl watching it....meaning. what kind of person LIKES to see other ppl being degraded, ridiculed, hurt, etc, for their own pleasure.

No offense to you ppl who watch, but it's like laughing at a person and enjoying yourself as they are in some sort of pain.

Well, I have to say that I actually thought this show was a completely horrible idea.

I didn't catch it....was too busy playing catch up here, lol! I did think it looked like an ok reality show, but within reason of course. I tend to agree with Kerstin here, some people out in the public might try some of the methods that are being used, under supervision, on the show and have dangerous results.

I'll try to remember to see some of it next week to really get a feel for the show though.

Well they really didn't get into the methods. Other than you saw them exercising and eating, you didn't see the "diet" that was laid out for them etc. So I don't know how much it will influence someone "copying" the show, it was really laid out much like survivor. They had confessionals where the individuals talked to the camera, they had challenges for the winners and they had the weigh ins and the eliminations.
