Did any of you watch this show last night at 8 on NBC???

I felt myself crying several times listening to these peoples confessionals and such. WOW!!! I want that girl personal trainer. Some of them lost 22 lbs in ONE week…if I saw results like that I’d be THRILLED!

I don't like reality shows either... there's a radio commercial here that features a lady is confessing her sins to her clergyman!

Why did you cry?

And I didn't say you and everyone laughs. But most ppl find reality shows entertaining. I don't find the anguish, pain, or degradement of another human being as being entertaining.

I have seen two episodes of The Apprentice. The one good thing about that show, you can learn how from them how to be a good project manager. I watched the last episode with SK, and let me tell you, the guy was an idiot. lol. That show, to me, is more about learning the business versus degrading a person.

Things like, what was that show that was like American Idol, but the ppl were bad. That was just SAD. Or, Swan, or Extreme Makeovers. Or how to marry a millionaire, remember that one? The Bachelor/ette, those types. Bleah.

I was hoping the Biggest Loser would be more humanist based, but after learning competitions were more about "don't eat the brownie" versus other things, I just kinda lost respect for it. I am hoping it'll turn out better, versus worse.

I thought it would be stupid but felt I related a lot to the struggles of the people.

I don't watch reality tv at all. I've watched a couple bachelors, they suck and I do watch the apprentice although I'm not impressed wiht this season. That's about it. lol

Well I didn't think they were humiliated at all but I agree I would never WEIGH myself on national TV. However, they do get personal trainers and to learn new eating plans, so if they don't win the 250k they certainly will get new bodies out of the deal. But you are right I wouldn't subject myself to any of that. I can hardly look at the scale myself let alone let 50 million people across the country see it.

Neither would I, but I wasn't saying Biggest Loser was humiliating anyone, but there are shows that do.

Well I think that aspect is about the competition, getting your teammates to take it seriously, if you can't avoid the bacon (which one guy ate 7 slices) and go for the healthier versions that are there, then your teammates are trying to rally behind because you'll bring them down as well.

I haven't seen anything about tempting them yet None of that was in the first episode at all.
