Did any of you watch this show last night at 8 on NBC???
I felt myself crying several times listening to these peoples confessionals and such. WOW!!! I want that girl personal trainer. Some of them lost 22 lbs in ONE week…if I saw results like that I’d be THRILLED!

Alright ladies, I'm hooked now too!
Last nights epi kind of annoyed me too. How awful was that 'tower' of cupcakes??? But kudo's for all of them and the way they (or whoever it was) decided how to deal with it. I was going to go ballistic if Mo had gone ahead and eaten one too. Thankfully he didn't, but it was SO obvious he was SO tempted.
The thing with Lisa in the gym got me mad too. Though I don't think she should

I think it's good that they put food challenges in front of them. Everyday we are faced with cupcakes, candy etc. at work what not and we usually give in to temptation and to tempt them with something they want (calls or visits with love ones) it seperates the men from the boys so to speak.
If they did things like had people eating that stuff in front of them it would be cruel, but having bacon and sausage along with healthy choices and allowing them to make the right decisions for themselves is good. It's more realistic to the challenges foodwise they will face in the real world.
I must have missed part... I'm not sure what happened in the gym with Lisa.
Dee- I agree. We are faced with all kinds of temptations and yes it would have been extremely cruel for them to have had people there munching away on them.
I really think they dealt with that situation really well.
Steffy- at the gym.....everyone was working out (or maybe it was just the red team) and Lisa came in from the hospital. She started off with a story going like; woe is me (and grant it she had just had an anxiety attack)....she said something like I'm sorry to Matt, who said something along the lines of nobody blames you. She then asked what happened on the roof and he said (not meanly or anything) that it sucked to see the blue team win. Well- she went off the roof (sorry 'bout the pun, lol).....saying she couldn't help the attack, didn't sabotage the game on purpose, etc....
She then hopped on to the treadmill and went on talking about other patients in the hospital who didn't have to leave and go to workout when getting home. There must have been something said with Jillian about giving her the option to go to bed, or workout. She opted for the latter, but complained about it.
Jillian suddenly turned around and said (more like shouted) to her to 'shut up'.....there was some more conversation about blame on her....and Matt (and the team) about what had gone on. It was all rather juvenile if you ask me.
Reading the above I see I've gone all over the place, lol--- try and catch the re-run on USA (Thursday or Saturday night, I can't remember, lol)....God I haven't been much help here at all!!

You said it well.
I think it was just ridiculous that she kept whining and then blaming people and everyone kept saying it's no big deal, nobody blames you etc.
Oh I was like suck it up!
Well last night's episode was good. I was so glad to see Dave leave, I know he lost the most but he's got a very negative attitude about the whole thing. However, Lisa is working my last nerve, she is so melodramatic about everything and she's a backstabber to the nth degree. I like Kelly a lot but Lisa for whatever reason is just working my nerve.
When they showed the first day shots of them, drea has changed DRAMATICALLY in her upper body, I couldn't believe it.
Anyhow, I think next year they should have the trainers measuring their body so that at least when the scale doesn't show a loss (WHICH HAPPENS IN REAL LIFE) they can still see a loss at least together and know that their bodies are changing. I think too much emphasis on the scale is bad for all watching because it's not really about the scale so much as the measurement. Fat takes up more space then muscle, so as you gain muscle you are getting much smaller. I can't emphasize that enough for people who are obsessed with a number on the scale.
I missed the first couple of episodes but I've been watching for the last 3 or so.
I'm not weighing again until end of Phase 1!
That was the only challenge I found humiliating. The rest haven't been. The first one they towed cars and ran, then they put skits together, then they walked up 72 floors. This was the first time they had to do anything remotely embarassing. I don't find the show as humiliating as I thought when I first heard about it happening.
Well they lose a lot one week, the next they don't. They are working out 2-3 hours a day, I think you would drop dramatically eating right and working out 2-3 hours a day, your talking about people who lead very sedentary lives being thrust into eating right and working out extensively.
So far the people that have left the show have all gone on to lose more weight on their own. I think they have a fair shot at keeping it off, just as much as the rest of us do in the real world. But I like to look at the world with the cup half full too.
Oh I know Lisa- WAH, WAH, WAH! There was something last night about her that really got to me, but now I can't for the life of me remember what it was, lol! .....glad to see Dave go- next I think it should be Ryan, I can't stand his 'smirks'....then Lisa- the only reason I'd keep her on is because I find Ryan annoying.
.....til' next week ;-)

Oh I am so glad someone feels the way I do. Lisa just cries way too much. I can understand being emotional and overwhelmed but I think she is using it to manipulate people. Still don't understand why she broke down going up the stairs.
I'm really loving all the the other ladies though. Typically these reality type shows put women in a bad light. They always choose women that fall into negative stereo types.
I'm really rooting for, forgive me I'm horrible with names, the short one on the blue team.
