Going to a halloween party when I was about 10-- we first went around the neighborhood (don't have a clue what I was though), then came back to my friends house with about 8 others and stayed up til' all hours (about 10.30pm!!!!) playing games and of course eating :-)

2. Were you an adventurous costumer, or did you prefer to stick to the 'traditional' kind?
I was definitely a traditional dresser- not very original, sorry to say!

3. Are you 'dressing up' this year? (Share what the kids are going to be too!)
Yep! I'm going as a surfer....BUT instead of lugging around a surfboard all night (and Bunny wouldn't let me borrow it anyway) I'm using a boogie board AND putting signs for 'Yahoo!', 'Google', 'MSN', etc...all over one side and a spider web on the other side. You guessed it- I'm a "Web Surfer". LOL!!!

4. What are the plans for Halloween?
Going to a friends house- think it's going to be a lot of fun- and a late night. Thankfully he's having it on Saturday night instead of Sunday!

Happy Halloween!

Well, the good one is......I remember dressing up as a "rollergirl", you know, a rollerskating chick. lol. I had on this shiny blue top, shiny purple shorts, and striped socks to match. And of course, the best part, I got to wear SKATES while going trick or treating. I have a picture. lol. I should scan it so you guys can get a good laugh.

The bad one.....I remember dressing up for Halloween in elementary, 6th grade. Care Bears were huge. I was Grumpy Bear. I was ridiculed. I hate Halloween now and refuse to dress up. I will wear those head band things, but that is IT. I hate it, hate it, hate it. Lovely, huh?

And one I don't remember. My mom has pictures of this. When I was young, like REALLY young, my mom dressed me up as a rabbit, and my brother up as a turtle. YOu got it, tortoise and the hare. lol. Isn't she a crack up. I remmeber when her and my dad were raggedy ann and andy. lol.

2. Were you an adventurous costumer, or did you prefer to stick to the 'traditional' kind?

To be honest, I don't remember what I was. I was Minnie Mouse the year I had chicken pox, so no trick or treating for me and my brother. He was Yoda. My mom has pictures. Oh, she'd make our costumes every year, so they were handmade. Our heads that year were made out of papermache. VERY cool. Too bad we couldn't go out. I don't think I was too adventurous. Maybe stuck to what I liked. Rabbit, a mouse, rollergirl, care bear, minnie mouse, wonder woman, etc. I was a rabbit twice. once when i was a kid, once when i was older.

3. Are you 'dressing up' this year? (Share what the kids are going to be too!)

Nope. As you saw above, I don't dress up. I will most likely either wear my mom's "mardi gras" hat (it's a parrot), or my "tiger ears". I did, however, wear my tiger ears last year, cuz i was playing golf on holloween. Get it, Tiger. lol. as in Tiger Woods. Oh come on, work with me! =P

4. What are the plans for Halloween?

If the kids are trick or treating on Sunday, my plan is to hide. If they are trick or treating on Saturday, my plan is to hide. Here's something kinda sick/kinky. Last year, KC and I were having sex and the kids would keep ringing the doorbell. Of course, we didn't asnwer. lol. TMI, sorry.

And here's the tortoise and the hare. lol

I can't remember a lot of specifics, I do know that I used some colorful strawberry shortcake pajamas and some accessories as a clown suit for 2 YEARS IN A ROW!!

**My mother always made costumes and did great makeup. One year I think I was 6 I was a devil, she did my makeup so well that I scared myself in the mirror, so when she did it again for a Halloween party at school she wouldn’t let me look at myself in the mirror. Every year my friend Barbara and I would be the same thing, one year we were bag ladies we bought housecoats, wigs, scarves etc. from the GoodWill. My mom put powder and rollers in the wigs, and pillows in our chest and bum so they looked bigger…they were GREAT costumes.

2. Were you an adventurous costumer, or did you prefer to stick to the 'traditional' kind?

***Hmm I never wore a store bought costume. One year we were babies, bag ladies, one year I was a “hooker” (I know bad) but it was funny and I won a costume contest because of it.

3. Are you 'dressing up' this year? (Share what the kids are going to be too!)

***Last year at work we were the cast of ER, we all wore scrubs, had the booties and everything and the red head in our office was ramano…he tucked his arm in and everything it was funny

4. What are the plans for Halloween?

***My parents are coming down so they don’t have to hand out candy and we are going to put the plastic on my windows and have dinner together. How exciting!

1. Share a childhood Halloween memory-

loved getting dressed up for halloween and going trick or treating. Usually went out with my brother and my dad until I got older and could go with my friends. I remember dressing up as a cheerleader for halloween one year when I was little. Instead of school letters, my mom sewed my initials on a sweater that I wore a with a skirt and I carried pom poms. I remember looking at myself IN THE MIRROR all dressed up and getting really upset because the letters were sewed on backwards. My mom had to reassure me that they were fine, it was just funny looking in the mirror! duh. ha ha ha. In second grade we were allowed to bring costumes for a party after lunch. I was sad because my teacher guessed what I was going to be before we even got dressed. The buns my mom put in my hair before I left for school that day were a dead give away that I was going to be Princess Leah!

2. Were you an adventurous costumer, or did you prefer to stick to the 'traditional' kind?

Traditional for me - clown, witch (several years), cheerleader, and scarecrow come to mind as costumes I wore

3. Are you 'dressing up' this year? (Share what the kids are going to be too!)

My dd asked me the same thing. I told her I'm going to dress up like a mom.

4. What are the plans for Halloween?

Take dd out trick or treating.
