First Godiva now cheesecakes

It has started already. I knew it would happen after Thanksgiving, but no. This morning, my co-worker, who is also my SO, brought in Godiva. His college kid daughter works there and brings home extra all the time, fresh stuff that wasn't sold like the chocolate covered strawberries and raspberry boats. Every once in a while when I am there, I accept a chocolate covered strawberry. But today I told him he wasn't helping.
anyway, not ten minutes ago, our friend from Angel Food Catering brought in TWO cheesecakes; one is chocolate mocha or some such thing. The other is strawberry or cherry. The boss hates fruit so he is giving that one to the main office for this region. Still the chocolate one is here.
Any advice on moderating these treats, in the office, at parties and family dinners during this time of the year?

This is a brutal one, especially with Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner.
My suggestion, stay away from Cheesecake Factory, they have a Godiva Cheesecake.
Which reminds me, the pumpkin one is out, I need to get a piece.
My mom made cookies, I'm trying to lose weight OVER the holidays, am I nuts? totally understand how you feel.
Step away from the restricted area.

Lorie, first you must track down the offenders who brought these goodies into the office, smack them silly and then bolt and lock to front doors of your business to any of those people bearing treats!
Thanks for the advice, guys. Lots of good ideas.
I do plan to keep up the weight loss effort during this time of the year.

Ack-- that IS tough! I really like Michelle's suggestion (iluvtostep)....with the 'real' food journal and the 'temptation' food journal. I'm sure looking back at it after a week with LOTS of temptation around feels really good.
Other than that--- strength and willpower are what we have--- USE THEM :-)
