QOTW - Making a List, Checking it Twice!

  • I'm ready for the holiday and not stressed at all!
  • Holiday, what holiday?
  • We're keeping it low-key this year. I hung tinsel on the dustbunnies.
  • We grew our own tree, handmade ornaments and are hosting 5 parties!
  • We keep it simple and celebrate with family and close friends.
  • Halfway there, halfway panicked!
  • I'm all shopped out - they're bought and wrapped!
  • I'll shop next week, there's plenty of time.
  • If I hear Jingle Bells one more time, I'm going to bash that radio!
  • Light a candle, hug a friend, share the true joy of the season!

It just doesn't seem like Christmas to me this year.

I'm so glad my shopping is done. I was stressed last weekend, but not now. My gifts are wrapped and under the tree. Cards aren't done yet, but I will get to that maybe today.

I am a bit concerned about the family celebrations. Christmas Eve tradition was to attend the Christmas Eve service then go to Grandma's. We have a lways gone to grandma's for Christmas Eve, whether she lived 10 minutes away, as was the case most of my life, or the one year she lived 2 hours away. She passed away in March. My mom is hosting this year. I'm just not sure how it will run out. I know it will be a bit sad for everyone, especially mom, but I hope we can have a good time. My sister's kids will be there; they will add some life and joy to the event.

I am looking forward to being home though. It's always nice to be away from here and be with the fam.

I voted halfway ready, halfway panicked!

Some things are done- some are not, and some are still in the air- plus school work is PILED high this time of year......that's the most stressful thing going on at the moment, haven't had much time to panick about anything else recently!!

Only 6 more days of school til' our break- then let the other panic attacks start hitting ;-)

Happy Holidays

Heather- sorry to hear about your DH's uncle....sending on condolences to the whole family. I'm sure things won't feel as joyous this year but hopefully you'll be by one another supporting each other trying to make the most out of things.

Laurie- moving Christmas Eve's house to your Mom's might be different- try to look it in a positive light in that you are making a new tradition. Your Mom is taking on an important event. Having the children around will surely ensure there is a holiday spirit!

~Positive Thoughts~ for both of your families
