YES I WOULD!!!
Wow, I don't think I could. I'm wondering though. According to your ticker you want to lose 99 lbs. right? I think depending on how quickly you want to lose you would probably have to do some major abstaining as much as it sucks. However, once you are solidly at the weight you want to be and if you could keep yourself from over indulging I'm sure you could have a bad day as long as you could stop yourself. Have a couple oreos or french bread (one of my personal loves).
Now, I feel like I may not really know what I'm talking about but as of January last year I wanted to lose 25 lbs. I have lost between 10 and 15 depending on the day in almost 12 months. Each month and each week I make small changes as I see no results which have helped me at least maintain a little. I have pretty much switched over to all wheat stuff, hardly ever have pasta or potatoes and if I do have pasta it's wheat. Let me tell you now that I have it's not that bad. You can even get French wheat bread. Even eating wheat I try to watch portion control.
My point is you will probably have to decide what your goals are slow and steady wins the race or now or never. Maybe today it will be one way and the next another. Some weeks I do better than others but I feel like I'm making progress. I've chosen slow and steady. lol
I know it is all terribly hard and seems depressing to think about and I hope I'm not putting my foot in my mouth and hurting more than I am helping. You sound like you've been discouraged and I'm know you can do this. Set up short term goals. You do so great with your working out from what I can tell. Sometimes it just takes a little change to make some difference and get over the plateau.
Okay I'm babbling. I do agree it is a tough choice and you will end up making the one that is right for you.
Hey girls:
Thanks for your input.

You know.....I don't think I can answer this.....in a way that would help you I mean. I suppose if I had no choice it would be something I'd have to do- but in all honesty I can't see myself doing it all that successfully. I think Steffy had a good point about listening to others who have done it. Let them support and lead the way! And Gretchen's point of slow and steady is one to keep in mind too.
Sorry that I don't have much more advice here....but please know that we'll be here to support you through whatever you decide to do!
