How many days left in 2004? Not too many....
Have you been reflecting on how this year has gone?
Have you been thinking about what you want in 2005?
Here's a couple of articles I found on 'Resolutions'- (I've only pasted snippets of each)
Tips and Ideas-

A New Year is a new start and can be a good time to assess yourself. What would you like to change?
- Don’t be too ambitious. Don’t set yourself up to fail. Set goals that are reasonable and reachable.
- Look at a resolution as an opportunity to do something exciting and new and not as a task of drudgery.
- Tell others about the resolutions you are making. When we tell others what we plan it increases our motivation to do it.
Excuses or Choices-
http://frugalliving.about.com/cs/moneymatters/a/ucchoicedd.htm
Let's compare the terms "excuse" and "choice":
According to Webster, an excuse is "an explanation offered as a reason for being excused; a plea offered in extenuation of a fault or for release from an obligation, promise, etc."
And a choice is, "the right, power, or opportunity to choose; option"
It's pretty obvious that there is a big difference in the two words yet I think many people confuse the two.
We all do have choices. When we realize that, we hopefully will stop making excuses and start making different choices that will help us get to where we want to go.
Making Resolutions Work-
http://frugalliving.about.com/cs/specialreading/a/123003.htm
You can make a resolution any time, but the new year looms ahead of us like a clean sheet of paper, upon which we have the power to write our successes ahead of time.
Instead of a list of dreams, make ONE decision for ONE main goal for the year. Don't bite off more than you can chew... that only makes daydreams, not resolutions. (But keep the next goal in mind for when you meet the first one!)
Be realistic!
Decide ahead of time whether you'll do better if you tell others or not. Different people feel differently about this, so know what works for you. If telling others makes you want to live up to their expectations, tell them. If it only stresses you, then keep it to yourself.
Ask yourself: "Do I want to be in the same situation at the end of December 2004, that I was in December 2003?" And answer it. Honestly. Then get up and go after it again. You'll find the results are very much worth the effort.
If you feel like sharing your resolutions....please do!
And Good Luck!

Send me a PM...
I'm in Worcester County too.
No need for justification there, Heather.
Hello hello beautiful people!
To start ' Good luck to everyone with their resolutions.
I want to focus on eating healthy and getting fit. I also want to read some of the many books I have and complete some of the many craft projects. I also want to have a more positive out look on things and not let the foolish things at work bother me.
Robyn
Wow, all of you have such great goals!
I've been pondering this for awhile and hope I've come up with some resolutions I can suceed at.
Financial:
Well I feel like I did really well this past year and hope to continue on the same course. Keeping credit cards paid down and having that available cash so myself and my family can do more spontaneous things and enjoy life more with out worrying about bills etc. My biggest financial thing this coming year is going to be saving for a trip to San Diego so at least one of my children if not three of thee four can compete in the Tae Kwon-do national tournament. Hoping to get to see the Pacific Ocean for the first time and my childrens first time ever seeing an ocean.
Health:
This is the toughest for me. I am going to continue with keeping a food/exercise journal. I'd like to find something I really enjoy doing in the exercise area. I think I'm going to buy a bike and see how that feels and maybe join the rec. center. I would like to try doing more/new things and see if I can find something that I really enjoy. Some of this will be weird for me, I'm kind of anti social or maybe it's shy or something and worry about looking like an idiot too much. lol
Also, I want have some type of routine. It's been so hard with a new baby on top of three other very busy children but I need to set time aside so I can work out period. I try to go with the flow but that just makes me crazy.
Going to really try to cut out the "bad" carbs starting 01/03/05. *sigh*
Family:
Weird time for me I have a 17 that has one foot out of the door and 12

Hi everyone,,,I'm new here (intro in roll call) mind if I jump right in?
My big resolution in 2005 is to feel prettier. Vague and corny, right? Well like I said in my intro after having my baby in 2002 I let it all go. And then I did the big no no after having a baby and in a hormonal frenzy had all of my hair cut off (ok well really short anway). So Im a stay at home mom with 3 kids...2 girls who are 8 and 10 and a baby who just turned 2, I gained 60 lbs and cut all my hair off and have pretty much been living in sweats for 2 yrs. It's time to kick it back into gear. I started by applying and getting a subbing job at the girls' elementary school. At least now I'm getting out (and dressed) and making some extra money instead of spending it. My hair (after 2 yrs) is back to a doable length for me (I like to hide my profile) and I AM going to lose the 60 lbs!
This sounds pretty pathetic even to me, but Im not really just a big lump, I promise to contribute! LOL
Here's to 2005!
Elle
Well I certainly don't envision you as a lump!!
