I am getting on. Not sure how I'll do, but the point is, I hate the gym at new year's. lol. But, I'm going.

I am rewriting my goals. Instead of writing it ALL down, I am going to write one month at a time. Take it slow and go for it.

My first step was dropping a class for school. With the two classes I was going to take, I would've been at school every night, m-th, from 6-10pm. Not good for working out, right? And so, now, I have one class twice a week and an online class, so that means I can do it more or less when I want. Which is easier on me with the working out.

School starts Jan 31. I was supposed to run my 5k, but it looks like I'll be looking into a March one, bummers. Or I'm going to just walk the 5k in February. Need to decide as my friend is getting married and going on her honeymoon at the end of February (she was my 5k partner).

So, for now. My goal is just to make a habit. They say a habit takes 6 weeks to make. I will have 3 weeks, and then school will start, and that will continue. Meaning....I am hitting the gym a minimum of 3 times a week. I'm going ot shoot for more, just to get there, but we'll see. My goal, is to GET THERE. =) I don't care if I'm on the treadmill for 10 mins and I leave. The point is to get my big butt there. lol.

My other goal is to SLOW DOWN when I eat. I go to lunch with a former marine (my co-worker) and he eats FAST. So, I have picked up that bad habit of eating really fast, and unfortunately, I don't even know when I'm full until it's WAY too late, or all my food is gone. NOT good.

And of course, eating better. Or at least, watching what I'm eating. I've been so bad lately, and having a dbf with a HUGE sweet tooth doesn't help me at all. =) Especially since I love sweets too.

So, i'm back. I'll be on that wagon. Let's just hope this is the year I complete my goals, instead of falling off, right? right!

Edited to add my goals:

Welcome back, Cher.

Writing out goals is a big help I think. I need to do that tonight. I usually have it done by now. Your list looks great.

Good luck

Thanks everyone. And glad to be back on the wagon. I'm giving it my best shot. and not going to let anything come in my way. Mostly because there are going to be MANY changes in my life this year, and I want to attack them all head on. =)

Wagon's getting pretty full today! But yea.....there's plenty of room. You know I went down to the park this morning (something I haven't done in a while!!) and thought it would be out of control down there, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!

Your goals look terrific, and I have to say I'm pleased to see you drop one of those classes! I think you really were trying to do too much, and would have ended up being very overwhelmed (just my opinion) and so I'm happy to see that you will be more flexible with your schedule!!

Here's to a TERRIFIC YEAR!

Best Wishes for 2005

Thanks Steffy and IG.

And IG, I agree, I think going to class 4 days a week was a TAD much. I am still taking an online class, but those are easier, because I don't HAVE to be at a classroom 4 hours a night. KWIM? so, it makes life easier.

I am going to the gym tonight, so we'll see how crazy packed it is. lol.
