Hi there. I don't know if this is the same person as another message board on this subjest so I'll tell you the same thing I told them. My friend, who she and her husband who are both, doctors say that they know it makes you gain weight..and it did her that way too. She said that in medical school they were instructed to not tell their patients that it may cause weight gain. Why? I'm not exactly sure, but I have my own oppinions about it. I think the medical and pharmacutical companies are more concerned about money for one, unwanted pregnancies especially with teenagers, plus they say that you can't "prove" it causes weight gain like you can't "prove" smoking causes lung cancer. Haromones are a funny thing to deal with. One other message boarder said that it caused her to have depression, which can lead to overeating, etc. I hope this helps but most likely you'll get different oppinions from different people. Best wishes with your procedure tomorrow.

I have a theory on WHY they wouldn't want patients otld of the weight gain potential.... because if they can't PROVE that the pill causes you to gain weight, then it's very much like a self-fulfilling prophecy kind of thing.

I've been reading and seeing several instances of believing a medicine will do a certain thing, will make that medicine do that certain thing.
