Do you find that you have certain friends or family members that you associate with eating??
I found that most of my close girlfriends are all healthy and active and I'm not that far behind. We all take yoga together once a week and gather for a nice spread of food, drink and conversation about every 4-6 weeks. That's about how long it takes to get 6 or 7 women all free the same evening. The food is generally fruit (apple slices, red grapes, pineapple), hard cheeses and goat cheese spread, crackers, almonds, and then for dessert broken pieces of dark and milk chocolate bars. It is a nibbling kind of thing. No one engorges in the food. We drink red wine or hot tea and it last for a couple hours. It is the perfect meal! It seems very European to me.
My mother and I constantly talk about food and exercise. She is always reading up on the latest and passing it along. I know I get my food obsession from her. Our body types are identical and we weigh about the same. Heck, when I'm 60, if I look as good as her, I'll be thankful!
My office environment on the other hand is awful! All 7 people in the office gained, from what I could tell, about 10lbs when a new co-worker joined us. She weighs close to 300lbs and brings treats in daily and lays them out for all to enjoy. A nice idea, but it has gotten totally out of hand. All of her cravings are now ours and it is so hard to pass them by. We even had a staff meeting to discuss the issue and it only got worse as Christmas approached. I'm on diability right now so I don't have it as an immediate problem, but I talk with my co-workers and I know it is still going on. It bothers me that some people can sabatoge others food lifestyles. She is also the one who is constantly talking about her weight issues. If I knew her better I might have a heart to heart with her, but deep down she knows what her issues are.

Interesting, I never even thought about that. Here are my answers.
Who are your food friends/family members?
There are so many...my long time best friend is very overweight and I always eat more at her house.
Who are your food friends/family members? I think anyone really, celebrations, gatherings, holidays all focus around food with friends and family.
Who are your exercise/fitness friends or family members? My friend K and I are always trying to keep each other in check
Who is the most supportive when you decide to get fit and eat better? My mother
Who is the least supportive? - Nobody
Who is your fitness/health role model? - I don't know if they are a role model but I'd love to look like Amy Fadhli and she seems really down to earth as well...she's got a smokin' bod...
Who are your food friends/family members?
My sister for sure. We are Dim Sum buddies.
Who are your food friends/family members? I think everyone is a food person. It seems like wherever I go, food is the main focus. Even at Bunko (which is once a month) and my mother's club, there's a food table every time, which is filled with desserts.
Who are your exercise/fitness friends or family members? I don't have any right now, although my neighbor & I tried walking together for a few weeks before the cold weather hit, which was nice.
Who is the most supportive when you decide to get fit and eat better? DH is very supportive, as is my daughter. I know they both want me to feel better & have better health. They have even put up before/after pictures of me on my pantry door so every time I reach for a snack I see a picture of my fat self (now) next to a thin me.
Who is the least supportive? I think everybody is supportive, but my mom has just given up on mentioning it because she doesn't understand why I just can't stop eating & lose the weight. I know she wants me to, but she's not very understanding (even though she thinks she is...)
Who is your fitness/health role model? Sounds silly, but Oprah! She has been up & down and tried just about every kind of diet, just like I have, and now she seems to really have a handle on things (even though she also has a personal chef, trainer & everything else I don't). I really respect her for not giving up. Also, I have a sort of "grandma" person who is 93 and still walks at least 2 miles a day, even in the ice & snow. I hope I can do that!
Who are your food friends/family members? A couple of friends are the "food" friends- but they come in different categories - the good ones, and the bad ones, lol! I find if I'm out with friends who DO NOT have to worry about their weight I'm not as careful with my choices as when I'm out with friends who are being watchful of their weight. Does that make sense??
Who are your exercise/fitness friends or family members? Recently I've become good friends with someone who

Who are your exercise/fitness friends or family members?
Right now I think I am the only one I know exercising and even I have just begun that but it makes me feel so good I don't really need any motivation right now.
Who is the most supportive when you decide to get fit and eat better?
My gf caprice who I met at a WW's meeting about 6 years ago, she has since had the bypass surgery (and is doing great) but she is the person I can count on for support and advice of any kind. Her main saying to me is "you have done this before, you know how to work the program- stick to what you do best, WW's" Geez I love that girl-tonight she called to let me know I lost exactly 18 sticks of butter!
Who is the least supportive?
My gf Kelly, she is an "Oh" person. Talked to her today and mentioned my loss this week and I got a flat toned "oh"...blah
Who is your fitness/health role model?
Leslie that does the WATP tapes! She gets me going over and over
They need an icon for "hmmmmmmm....."
Who are your food friends/family members? People I work with definitely.
Who are your exercise/fitness friends or family members? Really, I don't have any. I mean, I'm not a social exerciser anyway, but I don't see a lot of any one person who works out like I do.
Who is the most supportive when you decide to get fit and eat better? My in-laws. My FIL is a cardiologist, and I often get advice from him.
Who is the least supportive? People I work with.
Who is your fitness/health role model? I guess my FIL would be my "real life" role model, but I also look to the Firm instructors since I'm rather addicted to their dvd's.
Who are your food friends/family members?
I'd say Rachel is a food friend because we get together for breakfast or tea. My co-workers are all about lunches. Family, not really about food.
Who are your exercise/fitness friends or family members?
C and J, a husband/wife, from HKD. C is a runner so he's giving me advice as I start, and J just started HKD. Interestingly enough, Rach said she wants to join me for the 5K run/walk I'm doing in May.
Who is the most supportive when you decide to get fit and eat better?
BF is supportive, very actually. He even bought my uniform for my birthday back when I started HKD, but he's not into fitness. He tries to eat well though.
Who is the least supportive?
No one comes to mind, no one who's opinion matters to me anyway.
Who is your fitness/health role model?
A women from HKD who's a black belt, working toward 8th dan (degree) so she can start a school when she retires to FL. She's in her mid 50s. Oh, she practices yoga too.
