Special K Diet?

I keep seeing the ads. And I'm like, would that really help you lose 6lbs in 2 weeks? I could really use the weight loss for now. My pants are so uncomfortably tight. and I know if I work out, I'll "buff up" a bit first. Then for sure my pants won't fit.

Your thoughts?

I understand what you are saying...I have been there. Just remember that the faster you lose weight, the more likely you are to put it back on. Losing weight quickly may make you feel better, but think about how you will feel if you aren't able to maintain it (and the Special K diet isn't adequate enough to maintain). It took me almost 3 years to lose 40 pounds, but I am maintaining it. Now, I do tend to be a slow loser, so it probably would happen quicker than that for the average person. What I did find is that just exercising (even lightly) and eating healthier made me feel better about myself before I lost any weight at all. Just my thoughts...

Oh, I think you are misundersatnding. I would NOT continue that diet for ANY length of time. Two weeks max. No more than that.

And I agree, the slower you lose it, the more likely it'll stay off. I have lost about 25lbs, and have kept them off for 5 years now. It's the next 25lbs that is a struggle (cuz the first ones I lost by not trying, but it was slow). I lost 10 of those with WW, and have kept those off too.

For me, losing and keeping it off works best if I change my eating intake (smaller portions) and exercising a bit.

But that will take months for me to feel any better, and I hate to say it, but I am out of clothes to fit in. So, I kinda have an issue here. No money to buy new clothes. Need to lose some fast, and then keep up with the eating smaller portions, more healthy, and start exercising to keep it ALL off.

Please don't think I"m one of those ppl that want a quick fix and expect it to stay off. I'm not. I know what is healthy and what isn't. I just needed a jumpstart cuz what am I going ot wear to work, if my clothes don't fit? I am wearing jeans today, but tha'ts pushing it. and I don't have a lot of money to buy new clothing. so what do i do?

it'll take at least 6-8 weeks to lose enough weight to fit into my clothes if i do it the slow way. i can't wear the same pair of jeans to work everyday for that long, your suggestions?
