I'm getting bored of my gym workout. I think I have adult A D D. It's not diagnosed but holy cow do I get bored easily. So, what do you guys do when you get bored? I don't have many friends here and I broke up with my boyfriend. All my friends live in my home city so I don't have an exercising buddy. Sometimes my friend from home and I will call each other while we are jogging or walking, but with the weather the way it is, that's out!!

Any good ideas??

Well, I know how you feel to some degree. I'm easily board sometimes too. Of course, that's probably why I own every tape and DVD available. Variety is the spice of life. I have a few suggestions you can try. If funds are available, join a gym, especially one that focuses on women and their needs. I know that many people like Curves. Our town also has a gym just for women, which I think is a great idea. My husband signed up our family for the YMCA. I was afraid of exercising in front of others for a long time, but then one day decided that I was tired of not knowing anyone since we'd recently moved here. I found that most everyone was similar to me. Family, work, church and children's activities. It gave us commonality to bond during workouts. Another would be to go to parks where others jog, etc. Maybe you could join in with another small group of ladies. Also, our town has a free website where you can meet other people. I'm sure there's a way to sign on as looking for a group to exercise. Local churches have exercise groups that get together and they're usually free to join and you don't have to be a member. Hey, I just thought of another one. The cable network "Fit TV" constantly rotates different programs. I've enjoyed watching. Check the internet's listings for Fit TV to choose some new workouts.
Okay, I've probably overwhelmed you with too much info! I tend to vomit up too much information. I used to scare away dates that way! But, that's okay because I ended up marrying the best guy anyway!

For me I have a 'variety' of workout videos.....but actually only stick to a few of them. I like the knoweledge of what I'm doing....but it's nice that if I do want the change I can take out one that is rarely used and do it. Another one, and this might be better when the weather improves for you, is to vary your walk route.
