Makes all kinds of good sense to me miranda and it sounds like you found a plan that is going to work for you, which is the key to success here, finding what works for ourselves and tayloring it to our needs and lifestyle, its allllll in the planning and you definately sound like you have a plan! Good luck this week :) steph
Sounds good to me Miranda-- might be something I'll have to start soon too. I know exactly what you mean about deciding on some goals and then not reaching them, because you always have tomorrow! Ha!
Here I am wishing you luck in the new *game plan* you have set for yourself. Let us know how it goes...
I have to do something very similar to this myself. I do it to help me organize my time so I don't catch myself watching TV and doing nothing.
I make a list of everything that has to get done in the evening when I get home from work. Dinner and chore type things then put down what I'd like to do. Exercise ect.
I find I kind of fall off of doing this towards the end of the week and totally neglect it on weekends until Sunday afternoon and I start to get back in gear again. I need to come up with a way to follow through the whole week. One idea I had this weekend was that Saturday mornings I should just veg. Do what every my lazy heart desires. Then pick up where I left off. Maybe have a lazy weeknight as well so I don't feel like I am being a slave to my "lists".
Anyway, think it's a great new way to look at things. I think it is always motivational to mix things up after doing one thing for several weeks do something a little different. Keeps it all fresh.
Give yourself To Do and then mark them done on a wall calendar you see often with a sticker(make sure it's something that A)fits in the day square and B)you think is super cute. After the first two days you won't have to force yourself to do your to do list you will be eager to stick that sticker on your calendar.

Gretchen
I do something similar to Gretchen, with regards to keeping my house in order (now I need to put this in place as far as diet and exercise go):
Sun. - free day, housework wise - I do get DDs hs stuff together and plan our week, however
Mon. - free day
Tues. - laundry
Wed. - clean kitchen and baths
Thurs. - clean downstairs
Fri. - clean upstairs
Sat. - laundry
I put everything in my PDA - housework, errands, everything.
That's the way to look at it Miranda.
