TGIF - Weekend Plans.....
20

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am so HAPPY that it's Friday; my body must have sensed it somehow- I woke up late this AM, and I hate that but on a Friday it just doesn't seem as bad.

What's everyone up to for the weekend? Any special celebrations we need to know about? How about workouts, anything out of the ordinary planned? Have you a weekend strategy in place?

For me....it looks like an easy going weekend. Which suits me fine! So far this year the weekends have been spent at parties, out with friends and probably spending WAY too much money.

I plan on taking out a WATP tape this afternoon and doing it after school. Tomorrow I desperately need to make it to the beach (I'll soak up some vitamin D for all). And Sunday I believe a friend of mine wants us to go for brunch....we'll see!

I'll be around this weekend, and looking forward to seeing who else will be....

Have a Fabulous Friday-

~IslandGirl

Well I was suppose to go to my work's company party but we are suppose to get a big storm starting at 6 pm. So I don't think we are going to go. I am weighing in on saturday, which will suck. I've worked out every single day this week, I really gave it my all and I feel better, my clothes are fitting better but I'm pretty sure the scale hasn't moved. Which sucks. To go to WW and not see that scale move just sucks.

Finally, Friday!

I have Hap Ki Do tonight. After class, BF and I are going to get Chinese and stay in. We're supposed to have a lot of snow again over night tonight and tomorrow.

Hap Ki Do class is at 3:00 on Saturdays as well, but we'll see how much it snows. If I don't get out to class, I'll do Pilates and maybe weights too.

Sunday is my day off from workouts. After church (too early in tha a.m.) I will spend the afternoon with BF.

No real responsibilities, except for class, and that's the way I want it.

Have a good weekend, Ladies

I am THRILLED it is Friday. I actually ended up taking today off work, so it's basically already Saturday for me.

I do not have any big workouts planned for this weekend though. I am flying to Tennessee tomorrow morning to pick up a car I purchased off eBay and then driving home. It's about a nine hour drive so I definitely will not get any exercise in on Saturday. Plus, they are expecting quite a bit of snow through the route I will be taking home so I might end up getting stuck in a hotel and have to finish driving home Sunday.

What kind of tapes do you all use at home to do Pilates? I have a love/hate relationship with Pilates and can't wait to start on our classes at the gym again. But the classes on base are only every Monday and Saturday and it would be nice to have some tapes to do at home.

My first was STOTT Pilates. It was pretty good, about 20 minutes. Then I got three Winsor Pilates tapes in a set. I'm on the middle one now. I should look into the most difficult one; I bet I need a challenge by now. Anyway, my friend who bought STOTT with me recently got me a book/DVD set as well. It's OK too, had some new stuff for back and shoulders on it.

All of them have the basic exercises that are common in Pilates on them so I don't really use any of them now, just do the Pilates workout as I learned it from Winsor Intermediate tape. Like I said though, I better look at that advanced one that came in my Winsor set so my body doens't adjust too much to what I'm doing. Hadn't thought too much about that until now. Thanks for mentioning tapes.

I'm definitely going to measure saturday morning before I go to WW to weigh in so that either way I've "lost" something, I know I have in my tummy and hips.

We are supposed to be getting another snow/ice storm as well, so it looks like another weekend in the house with the kids. DH wont be home until Sat afternoon...if the weather cooperates (he is a driver). I'll be lucky if we all get out to church.

Wish I was going to the beach! :P

I have five videos/dvds all by Gaiam

I use regularly Pilates Bodyband Workout (my favorite) and Pilates Beginning Mat Workout. I also just purchased Pilates Conditioning for Weight Loss, Pilates for Beginners, and Balance Ball Beginner's Workout. I really like the Gaiam series.
