I am so frustrated. I think I am going to go back to the doctors and talk to her about the PCOS because I am so upset about this lack of weight loss. I am busting my ass eating right and working out and I've lost a lousy 2.2 lbs. With 80 lbs to lose this is ridiculous. I know any loss is good but at this rate I'll never lose it, so why bother ya know?

I am so frustrated.

I hear ya!!! I am at the tail end of my weight loss but scale hasn't budged in months. If I could see a little movement might keep me from screwing everything up. lol

However, I agree that you go see your PCOS or someone. You might have some other health issues that need addressed which could be causing lack of weight loss. I haven't't been hanging around hear that long but I'm sure your very committed at this point.

This all does seem just ridiculous sometimes. I know this sounds like a weak consolation but you have at least got to be feeling healthier!

Try not to be so hard on yourself - 2.2 is a great loss. Slow and steady is the way to go.

Don't forget that a nutritionist specializes in your needs. If money isn't available to see a private nutritionist, I know that many insurance companies will allow a Primary Doctor to refer you to one usually associated with that facility or plan. My nutritionist is also a certified trainer so she's been able to help me with both diet and exercise. Remember to calm down. Sit quietly when anxiety comes knocking and let it believe that nothing moves you. So, remind yourself and the challenges that you're in charge of your destiny of health and wellness.

Yeah, I could see that! Sometimes I think I know more than doctors about nutrition. I've been self studying for 7 years now and doctors only take one semester of nutrition in all their 8 years of schooling! Well, I've actually found three in three different states/cities. In Oklahoma, a ministry I attended was using her services. In Branson, there was a health food store ran by a doctor of nutrition. In Texas, my dad actually found the guy. He's a doctor of Chiropractic that is certified in nutrition. You can go to him as a chiropractor and get nutrition advice. I'd look in the yellow pages. Call a few places for suggestions and look on line. I know that there's a website for nutitionist, but can't think of what it is. I can help you if you'll give me your state and city and I can call Lorrie Medford in Tulsa and she'd probably know how to find one. Or you guys can call her at 918-664-4483 or her website is www.lifedesignnutrition.com .

I live in Leominster MA

I'm contemplating going to see an endocronologist about my PCOS as well. I do believe I may have to go on metformin to help with the insulin resistance.

I agree with Robyn here Dee, a loss is a loss- ok it may be a bit frustrating so I would agree go see your doc about PCOS to see if there is anything else you can be doing to help weight loss. {{HUGS}} and hang in there-- you'll get there!

Well I was so angry today after I worked out tonight I decided to take my measurements and I lost 4 inches. SO I feel a little better now.

WOW, that's super great! Congratulations big time!!! That's what my focus point is too. I need to loose inches around my waist. I've mostly been depending on how my clothes fit rather than measuring. Insulin resistance is definetly something you want to have treated. I've read many studies where women who have a waist measuring more than 35" are more likely to develop insulin resistance which can cause diabetes. Take care of yourself, Sweetie. I do believe that a nutritionist can do wonders for this also.
Kinda like when the 2nd runner up of The Biggest Looser had diabetes, but the condition went away after he lost so much of that weight (I think he was Gary from the Northeast).
