That is soooo great, Steffy! It's amazing what one change will make. I have a friend that I've been telling that to for at least 2 years now, but I don't think she's done anything about it, humph! The best change I've made was three weeks ago I started eating 1 salad a day. I'm like you, Steffy, where I hate paying the higher price for the bagged kind, but it's the only way I don't have an excuse not to eat it because it's already prepared and ready to go. So, I sacrifice the extra money for my health's sake and I do believe it's worth it. The first week of salads I lost 2 pounds!!!

Well I just started making small changes and hope to see results. It seems easier to commit to a small change.

I am cutting out soda and only allowing myself to have diet if I have any at all. As a reward I will have a C2 or Pepsi Edge (note to self: This means 1 C2 this weekend!!!). Trying to add a glass of milk a day. More for health reasons than losing weight thing.

Also, I'm doing the 3 moves to get fit, something like that. I don't have a lot of time right now. Too many kids so I can do this in a minimal amount of time. Increasing reps each week. I figure not only do I have time for this but it will help carve out more time as the routine gets longer.

Also, I am only weighing myself once a week. That way maybe I can see more realistic results. I hope I stick to this plan and see some results. I think if I see a little weight loss or changes in my body it will encourage me to make another small change. Time will tell.

That's wonderful Steffy!!! Very cool.

Let's see. I have made a ton of little changes, that have stuck. Like drinking less soda. Eating breakfast. But now, for me, I think I need to make little changes PHYSICALLY, like working out.

I am eating better, and less, which is good, but I really need to incorporate some sort of exercise. Tonight is my goal, to walk for 30 mins. =)

Woo-Hoo Steffy good for you for actually opening the bag and then enjoying a healthy (and I'm sure tasty) dinner!! I've been looking at those bags each time I go grocery shopping and they just don't look all that appealing at the moment....I should just buy one and go from there really!

I make small changes constantly- downgrading to 2% milk, low fat mayo, diet soda, more water, 5 more push-ups (....though haven't done them in ages!!! hang on- just did 25 on the ball). You know the small changes we make (and if we stick to) all add up to BIG accomplishments...

The mind starts ticking-- a 'little' change challenge perhaps??? Maybe not for the next one, as I believe Miranda has something up her sleeve for us all- but the next one??

Can't wait to hear other's

Good idea Steffy. I just really "need" a salad every once in a while.

I stopped drinking regular soda in the morning, then stopped with the caffine altogether, got off the diet Dr. Pepper. I do have a Chi tea every once in a while on a cold morning now, but I usually try to drink 6 oz. of orange juice in the a.m.

I also try to bring an apple or something like that to work to have in the afternoon when the guys are having chips and stuff. I have also stopped "treating" myself to something every day. I usually have a little something good on Sunday evening after dinner with DBF, especially if his daughter brings home something from Godiva where she works. One chocolate covered strawberry is worth waiting a week for.

My next goal is to add even more veggies to my meals.

The little changes I am trying to make is in the portion size. A friend of mine told me that a doctor told her to do this: in the morning eat like a King, at lunch eat like a Queen and at supper time eat like a Pauper. Makes sense so I am trying to move my largest meal to lunch time. I find by doing this I am not as hungry at night and just a little will do .

Steffy, you really shouldn't skip meals, BUT if it's a time thing then what can you do??

Martina, I agree. I try to eat my largest meal at lunch. Then if I know I'm going to have a busy evening and maybe should do this when I'm not. I'll have a slim fast or other meal replacemnt between 4:00 and 5:00 before I leave work and I'm usually set for the evening.
