Indoor cardio at home?

Any one have any ideas? So today I looked down at my pooch & it is really starting to gross me out. You probably can't even see it when I'm dressed. I wish I could post a picture!! It's so frustrating. To be fat but not....know what I mean? I manage a plus-size clothing store so all day I'm being told by my girls & sometimes even customers that I'm so skinny. If I say I want to lose weight they think I'm nuts! I know I'm not obese but my stuff is just not looking so nice and there's a little more of it than I would like in certain places...like the belly & now my CHIN!!!! I just weighed in at the doctor at 147...3 pounds more than last year.

So since my last post, I've used my machine like once! It's resistance & I need cardio too! I rented the carmen electra Aerobic striptease DVD #1 & it was okay but I think I need a more advanced one. Since I'm on my feet & often up & down a ladder all day plus have 2 kids & this machine (ha!) I'm not really sedentary & this DVD was just one dance. Not a lot of actual cardio, I thought. Plus I kept looking at her & thinking, "Damn, she's hot!" and that made me feel even less hot!!

I also need a way to introduce more fruit & veggies into my diet. I like them but find that we don't have them in the house too much. You know how when you don't have fruit, you want it & when you then go out & buy it it goes bad! Or is that just me? Anyway, sorry to ramble. I'm feeling a little twinge of desperation come on. The weather is depressing me & even more depressing is the warm weather coming (ack, a bathing suit!).

So any one have any good at-home cardio ideas for me?

Thanks!!

Elise

Hi Elise, good to see you again!

I'm going to pass on a couple of links. The first one is a recent post on the board from cl-Miranda about "baby belly" exercises; http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-fbfitthirty&msg=8861.1&ctx=0

Hey Elise, I would suggest going to a library and just picking a few tapes that appeal to you and trying them out.

I have so wondered about the striptease tapes....because I know that stripping must be great exercise.

Okay, I get grossed out too when I look down at my pooch (I will always blame my three darling children for that! LOL) So, my new toy from Christmas is a $20 mini trampoline from Wal-Mart. I absolutely love it. I can create my own pace, change my footwork and really get a good sweat going. It really saves your knees from too much unneeded stress.
